There are not words to describe how badly the lady at the front counter treated me. I came in after work one day and asked for a delayed order for the following week. She made me feel as though I should've just called instead because the order couldn't be processed in the register that day. She told me this at least three times before I said I would go somewhere else. I received the order 10 minutes late today with no apology from the driver or her when I called to ask where my order was. She said the order was for 11 so it should be on the way-yes to be there by, not to leave with! I only have a 30 minute lunch hour and this cut into my time. Not to mention I asked for white rice but got fried instead,(she did offer for the driver to bring out white rice, but only having a 30 minute lunch and for how "fast" the driver was to begin with, I told her it wouldn't work) but she insisted it wouldn't have happened had I just called! This lady doesn't care about her customers and doesn't work with them to earn business. The business is supposed to work for the customer, not the other way around! If the owner Jian Zheng only knew. I will not be back!...

We frequently buy from the Happy Wok in South Beloit, and it's great there. Being in this side of town and starving, we decided to give this location a shot thinking that having the same name...well, they would be the same quality. But we were terribly wrong - the difference is staggering. Some of the food was outright sickening.
The beef Mei Fun smelled like *ss, there's no other way to put it. The noodles were visibly broken up and soggy. The meat had a whitish tone to it that makes wonder, is it normal? The sweet and sour chicken tasted like nothing except old oil. The rice was noticeably old, the grain was ruptured, and it tasted like nothing but a bunch of overcooked old oil. The only thing here that tasted somewhat normal were the fortune cookies.
I had people spit this stuff out and go to bed without eating dinner, and others reluctantly eat chunks of it because they were too hungry. I'm genuinely concerned about...
Read moreLiterally sitting at this "restraunt" as I write this . The old lady who I assume is the "owner " is very rude and unprofessional . I asked her about a "new menu" option and she got all huffy and puffy about it like I was supposed to know what Five Flavor chicken was .. (That's why I asked ) she didn't give me eye contact , I asked for a menu and she told me "there is a big one right there " . So I ended up playing it safe sticking with something I know, the food was hot . The fried rice tasted burnt and the chicken tasted like it's been left in the fridge uncovered overnight (you know the taste ) I got about 10 pieces of General TSO in my lunch and a attitude all the way around . This is the first time I've ate Happy wok in about 9 months , and I see why . I will just brave the crowed next time and go to the mall where I pay 7$ for a full plate , tasteful food , and nicer employees . Instead of 10 for something I could of got out of the frozen food isle...
