Once you walk into the restaurant, you will be surprised at how large and open the space is. The hostess was warm and welcoming and greeted us immediately after walking through the doors. The restaurant has lots of tables and lots of different areas of the space and even has a bar on the south end of the building which is probably open during happy hour and on weekends. It's not called the my Island Pancake House for nothing. The first side of the menu is composed of at least a dozen and a half styles of pancakes waffles and French toast. All three of them can be chosen to make your choices more tasty and various. After looking at the menu and reading the name of the restaurant on the menu I realized that I should probably order pancakes since that's what they're known for, as they have another location on Merritt Island. And, soon-to-be opened location in Melbourne; from what I heard. Our server was very prompt, courteous, and not too pushy, which was nice because I had never eaten at either restaurant. I finally made my choice for pancakes covered with peach preserves , sweet cream and caramel. I got three pancakes which were of a substantial if not gigantic size with lots of toppings of the four mentioned to really make the dish over the top when it comes to pancakes. The pancakes are served as pancake platters only, but if you would like to have a full breakfast you can add potatoes of your choice, eggs of your choice. And oh, the meat of your choice as well. And the add-on price for that large plate of extras only cost less than $3.50.
I highly suggest this restaurant and I would take anybody who has never been there as my first option when it comes to breakfast. Or even a late breakfast comment as we 8 hour breakfast at 1 p.m. and, after looking around the restaurant it looks like everyone else was still having breakfast at that hour to. Proving that this place is not known for burgers and salads but it's pancakes and breakfast dishes. Please go in and experience the five star...

My wife had a procedure that required her to fast. The moment she was released to eat breakfast, her first words were, “Take me to My Island Pancake House.” She needed comfort food, and this is where it happens!
EVERY SINGLE TIME I come here, the service is stellar, food exceptional, and it’s an in and out experience with minimal fuss. Your food will be hot and fresh, and it will be served with a smile. I guarantee you will be greeted like a friend—heck, you WILL BE friends by the end of your meal!
I highly recommend the country bowl—or—The pancakes—or—The biscuits and gravy—no! The Elvis—or—The eggs Benedict—no! The smash burger. GAH! Order one of everything! It’s all super amazing! And if you’re here for breakfast, grab a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. These folk know how to do breakfast!
And their coffee is legit. But, I freely confess that when my chicken fried steak arrived, I forgot about my coffee entirely. It was that good! But, no worries, our server kept replenishing my coffee until I waived the white flag.
Oh—a pro tip—the portions are so generous we usually split a plate. Heck, wait until you see how BIG the pancakes are!
MIPH is veteran owned and freely extends both veteran discounts and senior discounts. They cater to families with young children, and offer a great children’s menu.
My Island will quickly become Your Island. Just wait and see!

Read moreSo to be honest pancakes are not my favorite when it comes to breakfast, I find them to be too filling. I’d rather eat my eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. However, I love pumpkin spice so I figured I would try them out. For those that don’t care for pancakes, there are other plates that don’t have pancakes/waffles/French toast.
First of all the service was great, the place was really busy for a Sunday and it did take some time before we got our food, but our server made sure we were taken care of. The food was great, they made my hash browns the way I like them, nice and crispy! As for the pumpkin spice pancakes, I have to say I am a fan! They were really good and soft and the toppings that came with them were really good too. Though if your not into too much sweet I would ask for it on the side so you can control how sweet it can be. For those that have to watch you sugar or gluten intake majority of there pancakes are gluten free. They also have low carb options.
Overall, I think I have a favorite spot for breakfast. So you will catch me come around again. If you can’t make it here they also have another location in Merritt Island called “Merritt Island Pancake House”.
On a side note this place is veteran owned and supports their first responders and military. I love a place that does that and backs it up by giving...
