I recently had the pleasure of dining at Granite Rock Grill in Rocklin, CA, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly and welcoming service that set the tone for a fantastic meal. One of the standout aspects of Granite Rock Grill is its convenient location, accompanied by ample parking. It made my visit hassle-free and allowed me to focus solely on enjoying the dining experience. This is definitely a place where convenience meets great food. As soon as I sat down, I was delighted to be served fresh bread accompanied by an amazing, authentic house salsa. The combination of the warm bread and the flavorful salsa was an instant hit. It was clear that Granite Rock Grill takes pride in using the finest and freshest ingredients, as the flavors were vibrant and enjoyable. For my main dish, I opted for the veggie scramble, and I was not disappointed. The dish was bursting with freshness and flavor. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, and each bite was a healthy and satisfying delight. It's evident that Granite Rock Grill pays attention to the details, ensuring that their dishes are not only delicious but also nutritious. Another great aspect of Granite Rock Grill is the reasonable prices. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that offers such quality and taste without breaking the bank. I left Granite Rock Grill with a smile on my face and an eagerness to return. The friendly service, convenient location, and delicious offerings make it a standout restaurant in Rocklin, CA. Travel a lot and found this place this morning. I just moved here. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast, you absolutely have to try the chicken fried steak dish at this restaurant. The steak is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of breading to give it that crispy texture we all love. And the gravy? Oh, the gravy is simply divine. It's creamy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the steak. I could honestly eat a bowl of this gravy by itself! But the meal doesn't stop there. The accompanying sides are just as fantastic. The biscuits are fluffy and warm, and the hash browns are crispy and golden brown. And let's not forget about the eggs – perfectly cooked over-easy, just the way I like them. Beyond the food, the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating and a warm ambiance. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast. You won't be disappointed!

I love the Granite Rock Grill. It is located on Pacific Street in old Rocklin. This was my first visit back since Covid. I brought a friend along on this visit. I had the Granite Rock scramble with a biscuit (Their version of San Francisco Joe's scramble- spinach, ground beef, parmesian cheese, etc). My friend had tomatoe juice, waffles, eggs, and potatoes. As expected, the portions were enormous!😋 I could only eat half of my meal. The service was great. We both drank coffee. What was not expected was the price. Which was probably affected by California's new $20/ minimum wage. Breakfast for two ran $50 + tip. Ouch! 🤑 Pre-Covid This outing was closer to $30. Did not mind supporting a local business or my favorite waitresses, but visits will have to be less frequent.😬 Although $30 / person for breakfast shocked me, the place was jammed (see photo).🤯 I only gave three stars, because I remembered a great breakfast for a great price!

First off let me start by saying I have been coming to this place for years. I no longer live in the area but when I am in the area this is a must stop for me. Today I drove a friend from west Sacramento to have breakfast here. Everyone I bring comes back time and tome again without me.

I am a chef and this kitchen is seasoned with love. So many of the items are house made and you can taste the difference. There are so many items on this large menu that are my favorites and i will only mention a few.

You must try the chicken fried steak and eggs. Most places in California think a chicken fried steak is something that comes out of the freezer and you throw it in the deep fryer. Im not sure but it feels like they just pounded that meat just before service. Dont forget to order the massive biscuit to go with your steak. Put some house made jam or marmalade on it.

I hate when a restaurant serves you a shot glass size of tea. The ice tea and soda glasses here are huge. I dont think ive ever seen a coffee or tea glass go empty very long.

If you have a sweet tooth for breakfast then order the cinnamon roll. The strawberry waffle is not only delicious but its beautiful to the eye as it is served.

If you visit for lunch try their hamburger. House made buns and the house made pepper jack cheese.

If you are lucky enough to visit on a day they do their breaded pork chops then forget everything I said above and order that.

Casey is our server today and she is spot on. Angelica is killing it with the coffee and tea service.

It is great to see Tiffany back. She use to be my favorite server back in the day.

Also while you are visiting, make a visit to the restroom. The restrooms are decorated very cute. In my opinion. When a restaurant takes that much care in the presentation of the restroom, then they also take care of how the kitchen and back of the house is.

I guess I will stop there. So many great things to say about this place. So many great memories of friends sitting down to enjoy an...

I was told by my GF this was the "best restaurant" in Rocklin. So, we checked it out for lunch on a Sun. It was crowded, as it took about 25-minutes to get seated. Service was decent (left a 21% tip), food was just OK.

Our waitress was fairly attentive, although when my GF asked for additional slices of tomato for her burger, it took about 10-minutes. But this was the only untimely service provided. We got the bill in a timely manner. I think the service was better than the food.

She ordered a cheeseburger (nothing fancy) but it came very dry (condiments were scarce but she ordered extra mayo - which she got with the meal - I guess she knew it would be dry?). She also got onion rings (only 5-6 of them/small rings but they were pretty good - I tried one/smallest). She said her burger was "OK" but that her onion rings were "excellent". Wished there were more (I was a bit disappointed for her about this).

I got the "egg-scramble" (which is a "Joe's Special" in disguise here). While it was tasty, I got half of the food of a usual Joes Special. It was a small serving (for $13??). It came with potatoes, which I declined. It also came with a biscuit, which had the consistency of "cake" but it was delicious. It was also a square, instead of round. Which, while odd, was acceptable. Not the best biscuit I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. My preference would have been more of a biscuit texture and not cake. I would have enjoyed it more.

This place has good service and acceptable quality food. Having seen the Yelp reviews, there are many folks that have "fawned" over how good the qualify of the food tastes? I just didn't see/feel/experience this. While I gave 4 out of 5 stars, the service had much more impact on my rating. I rate the food alone, just a 3 and the service a 4 (out of 5). I've had better quality/tasting food at Dennys/CoCos/Perkos/other diners. I don't know if I...
