Really enjoyed our trip to 18 Central last night. Started off with an Autumn Smash which was refreshing fall bourbon cocktail. I backed that drink up with a Kilnwooder which was also outstanding. Our table started with some shrp cocktail and oysters. All were well received and very tasty. Foe entrees the orders were. Hanger steak...halibut...swordfish and the burger. Hanger steak was a but underwhelming as I thought the seasoning was a bit light and the resd wine sauce lacked the real depth of flavor I had hoped to find. It was cooked as ordered. The frites were some of the best I've ever had. They have a slightly well done cook on them that brings out the best in the potatoes. The swordfish was the star of the show. Many of us had never had swordfish before and were blown away by the preparation. Where the Hanger steak lacked I'm flavor..the Swordfish had no issues with this. The corn ans sweet peppers on the plate were also very good. The halibut was also excellent. The chili peppers packed an unexpected punch which lingered. Id advise small bites of the peppers. The cook on the fish was outstanding and the squash it was served on top of was just OK. The burger was also tasty and cooked as ordered with a good seasoning and overall texture. Overall I would give this a recommended rating. We really enjoyed the meal and there is a nice view to boot.

We had reservations at 7:30pm on a Sunday night in mid May. We were seated at our chosen bar seats right away. Our server Jessica was really busy, but took very good care of us and was very bubbly. We started with the drinks Small Craft Advisory and Kilnwooder. Both were excellent. For dinner we shared the Finnan & Fingerlings salad and the mussels. The salad was fresh, but we were a little disappointed that we only had three little potato slivers. Also, the croutons were so large that they were hard to eat. The flavors were on point though. The mussels were terrible. They were so mushy that they disintegrated in our mouths. We couldn't eat them. Jessica happily removed them from our bill. The star of the night was the special: Fiddleheads in garlic and butter. Wow, it was one of the best dishes we ate on our trip. For dessert we had the Bread Pudding. It was excellent. I would recommend this place if you are in the area.

We had reservations for a party of three. After we got past the line we were directed to the back patio for drinks and a fantastic view before being seated inside. We had barely sipped on our drinks when our table was ready. Service was attentive and honest about time it took to prepare some dishes. So dont go here for a quick meal. Plan for some time to relax and enjoy. The craft cocktails are delicious. Appetizers and entrees are well presented and tasted great. Definitely recommend making reservations. I believe even the bar seats are booked in advance. I'll definitely be going back! Urban Cowgill August 2023

The location carries this establishment. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered a Bloody Mary without ice. It arrived with ice and was visually thin instead of the traditional thick appearance of a properly mixed Bloody Mary. Although I told the waiter I didn’t want the drink and would rather not have a replacement, that I would drink my sparkling water instead, the bartender/owner (re)delivered the same drink which had obviously had the ice removed (same thin mix and cold from the ice) and was served in a martini glass this time around. Both my husband and I tasted the drink, to give it a fair chance, and we both did not care for it. It did not have the taste of a Bloody Mary. It was as we observed, thin, and it was missing many of the important ingredients classic to a Bloody Mary. We did not drink the drink. When the check arrived it had the drink on the bill. We asked the waiter to remove the drink bc we did not want nor did we drink it. The bartender/owner came out to our table and commenced to argue with us about the quality of the drink and that we should pay for the drink (even though she said she removed it from the check). The bartender/owner of Oyster bar and grill clearly has much to learn about customer service and would be prudent if she spent some time studying a drink recipe book. We will not be back. We will not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of higher quality restaurants where we will spend our money and time. By the way, bartender/owner, this is the correct spelling for the word courtesy. Spelling third grade words, mixology and manners are not among your...

Very cute restaurant w/ great vibe.

We had a bit of a disappointing experience, and left feeling they seem a little caught-up with themselves and have forgotten about the customer.

Hostess was totally indifferent when we checked-in; no greeting, ‘welcome to 18 Central…’ nothing.

Server was very sweet, but we had a problem with one of our orders, and it felt like we were a bother, as opposed to, ‘let me make this right’.

My wife ordered a burger Medium. I came out at least red, maybe close to raw in the middle. She was a trooper and said don’t say anything. I asked the server to look at it and see if it could be microwaved to not disrupt everything. There was some banter between she and the cook staff, that felt like they were not happy we sent it back. It came back out again in a few minutes, and this time it was solid pink. She picked around it, but really couldn’t eat it and we weren’t going to send it back again.

When the meal was over, the check was literally dumped on our table, with not even a ‘thank you for coming’. Nothing. I was not happy.

I wrote a note to the restaurant explaining what happened, and that I thought they were wrong to charge us for a burger that was done so improperly. Haven’t heard back from them.

Cute restaurant that feels like they need to tone-down the arrogance a bit, and get back to serving...
