Worth reading. Excuse the grammar, Issue# 1 While walking into the store to buy a boat battery, I was greeted by some gentleman who handed me a bag and said "20% off anything you can fit in the bag". The bag was a large shopping bag and could easily fit my new boat battery in the bag however, when I got to the checkout counter they denied me my discount. WHY? Issue #2 Because of the 20% discount, my wife decided to also purchase two other items costing about $30.00. When I was checking out, the cashier rings up $128.00 for the battery, and $ 30.00 for other small items and then gives the total $34...., my wife starts writing the check out and I shouted STOP! That can't be right. The cashier says, No that's not right, let me start over. I said okay but that's my last check. She then gives me a new total of $ 212....,. I thought is was high (but I didn't do the math in my head). We finished checking out and drove down the street and my wife looked at the receipt and said they charged you wrong. I said the her " I thought so". We drove right back and went up to the "returns register" and told the girl the cashier rang us up incorrectly. She looked at the receipt and checked her register and said "nope its right". We said look at these items again and she rescanned the items and said oh. She called a manager over, who upon arriving walked up behind the cashier and said "what?", which me and my wife didn't think was very professional. The manager proceed to find the mistake that Ace's made and give me my new total. $ 168..... Finally, we were able to leave the check-out nightmare. Here's the review: No 20% discount on items in the bag Cashier rang up wrong Last check and ending up having to charge it. When returning to correct them, they made us feel like criminals. Manager not being very professional. After all the inconvenience we were caused, the biggest let-down was the fact that they never apologized for their mistakes. Remember, I was the person that could have walked out of the store for the original amount of $ 34.00, but I stopped the cashier.

Read moreOn 7 29,2024 at the ACE store in Rockport, Texas 78382 I returned 2 items which I had purchased using my credit card for a total of $4.31. At that point I was asked for my Driver's License. I questioned the cashier about this but was told the computer wanted it. I reluctantly gave it to her and then she scanned the magnetic strip which I did not please me since it contains my personal data. I thought she was going to verify that it was me by looking at my picture but such was not the case. If that wasn't bad enough she then wanted my phone number. Again I asked why and was given the same response - the computer wanted it. I asked to see the owner but was told Mr. Salemi was not in. I had returned items previously and never had to go through this exchange of my personal information. I bought the items with credit card and was using that same card to have the refunded money applied to it. What was the reason for having to scan my Driver's license? I was not having the refund in cash. I wrote corporate headquarters and was told it was the policy of local store Mind you this was for a GRAND total of $4.31! I used the same credit card for purchase for buying the items originally as I was for the refund. No one asked me for my driver's license when I bought the items! This is absurd. No doubt my information us being sold which explains why recently my email is receiving an increase in SPAM. I resent this invasion of my privacy. Believe me I will...
Read moreBe aware that the workers that check you out are unbelievably rude. B PATTON checked me out at 5:06. She was unbelievably rude and dismissive and so was the male working with her behind the counter. I had asked her before she did anything to please make sure to give me gift receipts for the three larger items. I showed her exactly which ones I wanted the gift receipts for. She didn’t do this. She was then mad and tacky when I asked for them. She was like “I don’t think I can even do that”. She then tried to lie and say she had done it and shoved receipts in my bag. I said, let me see that because I knew what she was doing. Trying to act like she gave me the gift receipts when she didn’t. Unbelievably rude about it & still never did what I asked her to do. She's actually gave me a gift receipt with everything on it to give the person which is not what I asked. It’s a gift to someone. They don’t need to see everything I bought for others. I simply asked for two of the gifts to be on one receipt for one person and one of the gifts to be by itself. She couldn’t figure it out. And then a male worker jumped in to explain why a gift receipt won’t matter unless they live here, they won’t be able to return anything because each ace is privately owned, and it’s doubtful that the other aces have the same items. His Words. I will never go...
