La Croute Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Rockton Township

Hey Everyone, I went to this very nice bakery today (family owned) with my best friend from WI. I was referred to this place by my massage therapist Christie from Lifestyle Massage! I’m so glad she told me about this place! I decided out of so many selections of bakery goods they had to try their new cheesecake cup. It was so creamy, smooth, and wonderfully enjoyable with every bite. I also had a medium Latte Mocha to go with it. One thing that I noticed was the great pricing on the coffee and the bakery items too. I also ordered to go was a cream puff and a chocolate croissant but I still have it in the box they gave it to me in. I will come back and add that experience later with you. It’s a cute little shop for you and a friend can sit down grab a coffee and a pastry and chat about life. Not only that the plus for me was going into the consignment store next door and shop some. I simply love finally having a good local coffee AND bakery shop to go to.

So far I’ve experienced exceptional service and delicious baked goods. You simply MUST try the bacon, cheddar, and chive scones. I purchased my first loaf of sourdough bread today to have with some soup I made and it was the perfect combination on a cold January day. I will definitely be buying more sourdough from this business in the future (the jalapeño cheddar loaf sounds delicious!). There are also several yummy looking pastries/cookies to choose from. I can’t wait to go back and sample some others!

I have no complaints about the price point of anything. I’m over paying less for lower quality (Dunkin’, Starbucks, etc). I’ll happily spend a few more dollars to know that I’m getting real food with quality ingredients.

We were passing through Rockton and stopped at the sweetest little spot: La Croute Bakery Cafe. And… WOW. Just wow. The pastries were absolutely incredible. Flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they’re made with intention and care.
