I really don’t like leaving reviews like this. Try to find the positive in things, but I don’t like to be harsh either. So I decided I want Chinese food for dinner tonight very limited places around me close by that I could go to. One is a Chinese essentially fast food restaurant in this place. I driven by here numerous times and always wondered about it. I decided I go there place my order sit at the bar and have a drink and wait for my food. Pull in the parking lot. Took a general view of the premises and establishment and It need some work. It has not been kept up. Parking is essentially in the back and it’s Not a pretty show back there. Walked along to the side of the building into the entrance. In it’s a day this place is probably gorgeous, but now it just smells old and mildew. It reminds me of a early 70s restaurant that the decor has not been updated Sit at the cashier for five minutes to place my order, finally someone came. Place wasn’t very crowded. Maybe 6-8 people and it could seat over 75 easily. Looked into the bar. No one was sitting there no bartender, and the bar was very dark and dingy. Place my order they said 35 minutes I thought about sitting there and waiting and then I looked around and said no – it’s depressing in here, therefore I went to go sit in the car Came back 35 minutes waited another five minutes for my food and left Got home the food was piping hot, not much taste to it. I ordered the orange chicken and the best part of the meal was the steamed rice. The orange chicken was not cut into normal size pieces. I had to cut three or four times to make them into bite-size pizzas. They were more like chicken Long fingers Or tenderloins I ordered two eggrolls, took a bite into one and spit it out and decided - nope, not doing this.
The positive aspect of the review was the steam rice was good and their service is adequate, that’s about it. Oh, there’s plenty of parking. I hate to leave reviews that are negative specially On places that look like they’re hurting, I do not want to affect their livelihood, but that’s why we leave reviews for other people like me. Don’t go there and waste my money on a worthless meal. I’m sorry that I am leaving this review.
I read all the reviews prior to going and placing my order and I thought of “really? Really can’t be like that. “ The...
Read moreWhen first arriving the building was very antique looking with a comforting smell of aged lumber. Usually in such places is where you would expect to find the best food. The dinning table and chairs were also all wood promoting a uniquely rustic feel. Unfortunately that is the most positive I can say for this place. I came here with an eagerness to be whelmed and even that reasonable bar was too high for this place. Of the 4 water glasses we were given 3 were found to have detritus within, two with mystery contaminants and one with a fly at the bottom. Alas we were committed to finishing out this experience. We got the appetizer for 4 and every item felt inexplicably poor quality from the taste to texture. Once our meals arrived we were struck by the lack of portions considering the price. But as we proceeded with our meal we all came to the disappointing conclusion that each of the 4 meals was so bland in taste that they were quite unappetizing. My honest recommendation is to steer clear of this joint and eat literally anywhere else. Even a Panda probably does better. What a ruined...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. The sweet and sour sauce is fluorescent red, and had 2 random floating chunks of mystery meat in it. The crab rangoons were the worst ever, and tasted like gas station food that had been left out for months. They were also stale and barely had any crab in it. All of our food was soaked as well. The Mongolian beef had barely ANY beef, and it was 90% just liquid. The mushu pork was swarming with so many vegetables, that there was only about 4 pieces of pork, and even then, the pork pieces were so dense and dry that it took a century just to chew through them. The egg drop soup was okay, as it was the only edible thing we were given. Which they forgot originally as well. On top of that, all of our food costed around 60 dollars. I’ve had better microwave meals than this. Complete waste of money! Do not come here!!
Update: I got food poisoning. I am regretting every decision in my life that led me to China Palace as I go through some of the worst pain in my life. You’ve...
