Staff are polite and friendly, ice cream was good, but I kinda get the impression management is neglecting the store.

They ran out of spoons! At an ice cream shop!

The strangest part is that it was like actively hid that fact, or were just apathetic to it. I ordered a cup of ice cream. Probably should have been warned then "hey, there's no real way to eat that unless you have a spoon in your pocket," and certainly wouldn't have ordered the same if I'd known. They handed me the ice cream without a spoon. Didn't say anything about not having one. After I paid, and stood there looking around holding a cup of ice cream, still nobody offered that information. After scanning the entire store, thinking I was overlooking them on a counter somewhere, we finally asked. Only then did they finally let us know they didn't have spoons. And it wasn't even an "I'm sorry, we just ran out of them and we sent someone to the grocery store across the street for more." It was just a "we don't have any," an offer to let me use one of the tiny free sample spoons, and a little shrug.

The also had things on their in-store menu that, according to the employees, they "don't offer at this location." It's a digital menu. Meaning it's just someone with the proper credentials who didn't bother to keep the menu updated. Not the line employees...

Been open 11 days, but here we are. This is one of the first Great American Cookies / Marble Slab combo shops in the nation, but more are planned for North Texas and beyond.

A staff of 7 teenager looking locals were running the line with 3 older managers cleaning and tending to stuff behind the scenes. Service was extremely attentive and bright. Music from Britney Spears played over the sound system.

The location is also setup for cookie cakes and ice cream cakes, so they will likely develop big business for events and parties based on what I’m seeing looking around.

The ice cream was delicious, the cookies were fresh and chewy. Location was especially clean and still smells new. Lots of windows and bright lighting. I counted seating for exactly 40.

I keep trying to give this place a chance but it’s horrible every time. Customer service is awful (no one ever greets you and you stand and wait for quite a while before someone even comes to help you) The toppings bins and area behind the ice cream is disgusting. I repeat - disgusting. I am not sure how this place passes code. They never have all the toppings and today they only had less than half of the ice cream flavors out- the rest of the ice cream freezer was empty. The fruit toppings that were out were disgusting and they said that was all they had available. Two brown wilted strawberries. I have a hard time believing there wasn’t anything in the back, but even if it was true still really bad. The container the spoons are in had two spoons left so I could clearly see the dirt in the bottom of the cup. It’s just a paper cup - easily changeable to a clean one. I was really excited to finally have a marble slab in Rockwall but this location is really bad and clearly neglected...
