The Monday after the Christmas parade must have been a bad day for the Crooked road! Our waitress seemed to be half asleep and disinterested in our needs. Never even offered a a smile . I had to actually get up to go get her to ask her for what we needed a few times , . Most of the time she was engaged standing behind the bar, looking at or talking to the people sitting at the bar with their laptop open, so it was impossible to catch her eye, even though we were straight across from her .. The only time she showed up voluntarily at the table to ask us if everything was OK , and that was when it was time to pay the bill. I had to ask for butter for my waffles. We had to ask for salt and pepper, we had to ask for ketchup and we had to ask for coffee refills. and jelly for the biscuit . . My husband had easy over eggs : one was very under cooked ( clear egg white) and one was over done. . Hashbrowns were cold. My chicken and waffles were good, but I would think butter should come with it. The biscuit was good that my husband had. And the orange juice top-notch.
On the other hand, I’ve been there for lunch. Everything was exquisite. Everything was lovely. Everything was perfect. Overall we were really disappointed with our first breakfast at your restaurant, we will be back for lunch, but not sure we’ll make it again for breakfast. $40-some dollars was a lot considering the very poor service and my husband's poorly cooked eggs and cold hash browns. And, all the getting up to ask for what we needed which is not what a customer enjoys doing. We asked about getting pancakes rather than waffles, but she said we couldn’t get them (although they are on the kids menu).. Some people just prefer pancakes over waffles (me) so it seems like a customer could be able to get a couple pancakes if they would prefer. . It was probably just a bad day all the way around. Forgivable for sure. Suggestion: Breakfast could offer omelettes, which many people do love. We will try again for...
Read moreWas not impressed with this place at all. When walking in, we were not greeted or anything. We just kind of stood there for a second, confused because it was our first time here. Wasn't sure if we were to seat ourselves or wait for someone to show us where to sit. Anyways, another couple walked in behind us and that's when we were told to seat ourselves. The service is horrible. The people who walked in behind us got waited on before we did. It took forever for our food to come out, and we didnt even order very much. The fried bologna tasted like burnt rubber covered in grease. There was a blond hair wrapped up in the silverware and napkin combo. Annnnnnnnd can we address one of the waitresses VAPING inside where there are elderly and children?! I was disgusted to see her vaping while preparing drinks and chopping up food. I definitely won't be returning here. The ONLY reason I'm giving a 2 star review is because Dalton was an...
Read moreVery cute aesthetic, kind of classy and homey. The food was absolutely delicious, 10/10. I got the breakfast platter, and that hash brown casserole? To die for. I'm giving four stars instead of five, because our visit was soured by the wait. Now to their credit, they were busy and I was more than happy to wait. However, we watched at least one table that came after us get their food well before we did. We also had our waitress and another waitress come by asking or stating that we didn't get our food, and then asking what we got. This was definitely upsetting, but they were polite at least. I would love to give it a second chance and I hope that it...
