I have had two meals here. The first was really good. The second was take out. If I had eaten in, I would have sent both back. The noodles in the ramen were overcooked, too soft and a little mushy. I live 5 minutes away so the delay of takeout wasn't an issue. The next day I had the chicken skewers cold. I love cold chicken and the flavor was good. But they were cooked to death, I couldn't get the meat off the skewer with my teeth. The picture shows how they were a little burnt, I couldn't even eat that one. I will go again because they and their catering side are really good and I support local business. But I won't do take out again.

This restaurant is what Rocky Mount has been missing. Five stars! Food is so creative and delicious, service is warm and friendly, atmosphere is welcoming and fun. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We ate here before Morgan Wade’s first night at the Harvester and sat outside. Even 40MPH winds didn’t dampen our experience. They have a new menu routinely since they are using what’s in harvest and many items are sourced locally which we love. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding addition to the local food and drink scene in Rocky Mount ⭐ From the food to the atmosphere to the staff, the experience never disappoints. Weekly specials and year round staples keep the menu fresh and our family returning regularly.

My husband and I stopped here one evening while on a road trip.

We had the flank steak, a double cheese burger and a side of fries. Oh, and the fry bread, I am from Chicago so I have never heard of this, but my southern husband said it was a must in the south. All of it deserves a chef's kiss!

The service was great and the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was awesome!

My only complaint was the music they had playing was really loud over not great speakers so it was a bit hard to hear my husband across the table.

When we got the bill we were a bit confused that there was no place to enter a tip. We stopped the bar tender, who from my understanding is the owners son and he came over and sat down and chatted with us. We found out they pay their servers A very fair and I personally think, generous wage. Anything you tip actually goes into a pool and they donate it to the humane society!

How can you not get down with a place like this? 10 stars! Amazing! I hope to come back...

We tried this place before a concert at the Harvester because a reviewer had mentioned gf options and the reviews were so good. We were not disappointed. It’s small and very quirky. I got a cocktail (Fence Post??) that was excellent and the crispy tofu dish which was creative, perfectly prepared, gf, and delicious! Hubby ordered a double burger and was very happy with it. We ordered a basket of fries since the burger did not come with a side and were surprised that for the rather expensive price they were just frozen crinkle fries rather than hand cut. That was the only negative. We agree the Porch & Voodoo Lounge was a great experience and will consider it a destination worth the 45...
