I recently visited Herbs Tavern with high hopes for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The two cheeseburgers I ordered, along with the accompanying fries, were nothing short of a disappointment.
To start, the burgers were a complete mess. The presentation was sloppy, as if they were hastily thrown together without any care. The buns were dry and lacking in freshness, while the patties themselves were overcooked and lacked flavor. It was disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail in the preparation of a classic dish.
Adding to my disappointment, the fries were utterly burnt. Not only did they lack the golden crispiness one expects from a quality order of fries, but the charred taste was overwhelming and made them practically inedible. It's baffling that such subpar fries would even be served to customers.
The service at Herbs Tavern was equally underwhelming. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, failing to provide the level of service one would expect from a dining establishment. Additionally, the prices were exorbitant for the quality of food and service received, leaving me feeling like I had been taken advantage of.
It pains me to write a negative review, as I understand the impact it can have on a business. However, I felt compelled to share my experience in the hope that it serves as constructive feedback for Herbs Tavern. Improvement in the areas of food quality, attention to detail, and customer service is crucial for them to regain the trust and satisfaction of their patrons.
I genuinely believe that honest feedback can lead to positive change, and I hope that Herbs Tavern takes this opportunity to reevaluate their practices and strive...
Read moreHorrifically bad. Poor service with attitude----hey dude, don't like your job as a waiter, get out of the service industry then. Place was not at all crowded day I went in mind June (Saturday before Father's Day). Food took nearly 50 minutes to arrive (a half-pound burger, a BLT, and Fries....THIS takes 50 minutes and you aren't crowded in the least???) and when it did arrive the burger was a kid-sized/undersized one (definitely not the half-pound I had been waiting for all morning plus these 50 minutes). When I told the waiter it was wrong I was given this response "well, that's what the cook gave me." My wife and I promptly got up and left never to return. There are plenty of places to pick from that appreciate your business. Herbs used to be a must stop on trips to the Cleveland area. Something has changed there for the worse. Almost seems like they are trying to drive people away. By the way, I was not the only upset patron in the place this particular day. My favorite was the table full of people who also had been waiting and waiting and waiting for their order. When the waiter guy asked how the people enjoyed their wings one of them responded "well, you tell me. Did you actually bring wings out to our table? Do you see them here? Do you see the remains of any? Did you even submit the order?!!??" So long Herbs. You have somehow ruined a good thing---a former license to print money soon to be out of business if it keeps...
Read moreHerb’s Tavern has been around forever and I’m embarrassed to say that it was my first time here ! And I loved it !!!
There’s a parking lot in the back, which is always helpful. We walked in for brunch on a Sunday morning, and we were able to snag the last seat on the patio. I loved the little shade sails over the patio! It really helped keep things cool.
The wait staff seemed a little stressed. But we were waited on by a man and were brought our food by a younger girl. Both were very sweet and pleasant !
I was with three other people and we all loved our food! I’m kind of a French toast snob, and it was incredible ! My husband got a ham & Swiss omelette and loved all the cheese on it. He said it was great. We also both agreed that the hash browns were incredible. A perfect balance of crispy and soft.
My only little complaint was that our food all came out at different times, so I was done eating before two of the people in my party even received their food.
One of the other servers came over to apologize to us for the scene, which I was confused by. Apparently the next table over were throwing a fit because they couldn’t split their checks. I had no idea! So kudos to the staff for handling it discretely. Afterwards though, we DID hear the disgruntled guests honking obnoxiously at the patio and flipping us all the bird. lol what in the world? Hopefully their day...
