Let's start at the door. Normally when you design an entrance/exit you think about ready access. Not here. Door was open with 15 jammed up in it because the host booth is right smack in front of it. Just genius. Or host wiped off the table with a soaked rag that left a very sticky glue like feeling after. Both menus needed to be peeled off the table. There's a giant basket of silverware at the host booth at about eye level for the host at the time. Refer to pictures. She did not notice it. As we had none. Refer to pictures. Our "server" Katie had less personality than a Popsicle stick. I'm serious. My last Popsicle stick actually had a joke on it. It was much more pleasing than my interaction with Katie. I'll set the mood. Your on a park bench, a person that looks and sounds like homeless walks up to you and accuses you of kicking their dog. Clearly they are mistaken. So you try to explain to them. But to no avail. Ok great so now you know everything there is to know about Katie. Let's move on. Food was terrible. See pictures. My grandpa and i were starving. It was afternoon already. As church later a bit longer due to a passing. Nothing was cooked right. Came out warm at best. Forgot the toast. Then Brought the toast that must have been toasted in a mop bucket. Soggy gross. Hash browns ordered well done. Were on a sacle of 1 to10 one being frozen 10 being burnt. Were literally every part of the scale. Cold and burnt. Wow just wow. At this point i started to think... Maybe Katie was cooking them also. French toast had about 8 tablespoons of butter on it yummy. Cost 40 bucks. Left hungry and confused. I got the Benedict. Englishy muffin wasn't touched or toasted. Covered in paprika. Garnished eith orange slice and lettuce. Nice. Egg was half cooked. Not a poach not up. Just like slime consistency. Ham was just that ham. Hard to eat when it is covered in uncooked eggs and uncooked English muffin things. There is plenty of much much much.... Much better places in town to go. Mrkt, burntwood tavern, westsiders, Joe's diner. Taco Bell had breakfast. I've never had it. But after scrambler's i wish i had. I hope they don't reach out to me. Honestly i don't even want to tell my therapist about this. Also it wasn't...
Read moreStopped in for the first time over the weekend and man, was I impressed! The service was OUTSTANDING! Anything I could have even thought I needed, the server was already bringing it before I could ask. It’s like she was reading my mind! Lol! I’m pretty sure her name was Katie if I remember correctly. Tattoos, short hair. Very nice, and one of the best servers I have had in a very very long time. It’s hard to come across a server that actually cares how your experience is, and I could tell she did! Aside from the fantastic service, the prices weren’t horrible but I will say almost $5 for hot coffee is a little steep. And I was a little let down that they advertise having mimosas but they do not have them yet. The food could have been better. It did come out hot but it just kind of seemed like the cooks don’t have much passion for what they’re doing, but hey maybe they had an off day. It was still good food, just could have had some more love in it. I will be going back because of the great service. Might sit on the patio next time, looked pretty nice! Thanks again,...
Read moreHad the day off and wanted to try something new. Saw this place on Facebook and it sounded pretty good. I’ve been to two places social media suggested before this one and they haven’t been the best. This place, however, is top tier.
First off, it was much busier here than I expected. Many other social media places suggested to me looked busy in their posts and were just plain dead on my visit. This place had people coming and going and it was nice to see.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. While they didn’t seem the most upbeat (which I mean, early in the morning, I’d be the same way lol!) I was checked on, looked after and even got refills before I could ask for one. Shoutout to my waitress (short hair and tattoos. I think her name was Katie?) for the great service!
Food-wise, I tried the southern biscuit benny and let me tell you I was head over heels from how good it was. Cleaned the whole plate. I might be crazy, but I think I tasted a bit of orange zest in the hollandaise sauce which gave it a little kick.
Overall, would recommend and...
