Picked up 1/4 ham for Thanksgiving on 11/26/24. Took it out of the fridge and let it set for 30 minutes. Opened it up to serve and found it mis-cut. I kept repeating you gotta be kidding me,,…you gotta be kidding me,,1/2” thick slices!, got about 7 normal size slices out of it. 1/2” thick first thin 3 normal slices. 2 1/2” slices then 4 normal slices. One of my guests came running in to the kitchen to see what the commotion was about. You don’t spend $56.21on a ham that’s supposed to be the center piece of your meal! Been going there for the last 12 years and never have had this happen. It was most embarrassing since one of my guests offered to take one of the thick slices. Disappointed in this place. I picked this location because of the service and quality. Update: I took the online survey and repeated the same as above. Received a call from Bob. Said he wanted to make it right. Asked me how much my ham was I didn’t know from memory at the time but I told him it was 4.6 lbs. He said he would send me a gift card to make up for the trouble. He asked for my address; gave it to him and he said, “I won’t be in the store tomorrow but when I get back on Wednesday I will send u a gift card. i said ok and thanked him. Hung up and thought, “Was I just demographically profiled and blown off because I live in Cleveland. Why not send it today.” Sure felt that way. As of this post 12/11/24 have not received anything from HBH. Deceiving practices will catch up with them one day. Yes, I will no longer be doing business with HBH. It’s all about the...
Read moreI'm deeply disturbed by Honey Baked Ham's new policy, and I don't think the Health Department would embrace their new policy either.
I've shopped at Honey Baked Ham for over a decade for my holiday dinners for me and my family. I'm used to b going in having them open the ham and then either going great, I'll take it or show me a different ham, please.
Well, now in order to b dissuade you from picking your own ham and instead just taking what they give you...
Their new policy is that they won't open the ham in store. You have to take the ham to your car where you can do God knows what to it.. lick, wipe your junk on it, inject it with who knows what, take some ham out, and then stand back in line and return it to the Honey Baked Ham counter, so they can put it back on the rack to sell to the next person, and so they can give me another ham to take back out to my car to start the process over. All because it takes too much time and they want to dissuade you from returning your ham. Which works for the good people but never for the "bad" characters.
I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in paying $120 for a 10lb ham that's been contaminated by who knows how many people before me. I won't be back until they change their rules back to...
Read moreI was in yesterday morning around 10:30.The lady working the front counter. I do believe her name is Bambi, Was an absolutely amazing employee. She made two sandwiches for me and suggested a ginger ale as I was having severe stomach pain. When I paid for the items, I asked if there was any way I could tip on the receipt but that was not possible. I felt terrible as I did not have any cash. I left and went to my car and went to my emergency stash which Is only had four dollars and cash. I stepped out of the car and brought it in and gave it to her and she was beyond thankful. She is the epitome of a top employee. She represents your brand and tge customer To a whole nother level. I will be back again and again just because of her and her top star customer service.
