We ordered the family style meals. We ordered the meatballs (mostly breading and very little meat), the calamari (chewy and the oil needs changed), the Mirabellas Pasta (the ravioli were undercooked and the meat sauce lacked flavor -- I would suggest the sauce from the meatballs in place of the bolognese since you never see meat sauce with ravioli like that in Italian cooking), the skinny penny (was really good), and the bacon Mac n cheese (not bad). We also had the Grand Pasta which has "filet" beef. It was more on par with an overcooked thin-sliced tender sirloin. When you think of filet, you think of a better cut of meat. This had an odd texture and definitely lacked quality.
So, it's $20 per person for all you want to pick off a select menu. The food is average and falls short of decent Italian food. The place is owned by the same folks that own Tavolla Trattoria and Table Mesa in the next town over. Tavola's is MUCH better in quality and the food is far more appealing visually.
The staff is being used very inefficiently. We had FIVE different people run food to our table in place of our server. Items came out of order, some items were missing, one pizza was lost in the system then had to be remade AND still came out incorrectly made. We lost that personal touch with our server thanks to having too many hands in the pot. This is a massive waste of resources, creates errors in orders and food timing, and creates utter chaos in service. Not to mention we saw our waitress less, and couldn't even ask for her again if we liked her as a server since we don't know her name, nor were we able to get to know her.
If the quality would match Tavola's, then this place would make a legitimate stamp in the local town. Unfortunately, they are catering to the cheaper side of dining which is a shame and disappointment. I would say this place sits behind Olive Garden on the Italian food scale.
Scrap the insane menu, consolidate it, refine the quality and streamline the staff. The waitresses seemed so overwhelmed and also confused because there are so many moving parts. The expectation versus execution did not match whatsoever.
I mention all these things in the hopes that management will reevaluate their business model to improve the experience and quality for the customers and improve things for their staff as they seem to be getting overwhelmed without even having a busy dinner service.
On a side note, the manager who visited us at the table, Adriana (hope I spelled that correctly), was a pleasure to talk to. She was eager to listen and showed genuine concern and willingness to see things improve. She truly seems to want to represent the restaurant and take imorove the fining experience. Great member of your team!
I truly hope you not just succeed, but excel. The city of Rogers can always benefit from a great restaurant serving quality Italian food.

Read moreThis review is highly edited from the original since Google reviews only allows one review per a business. The basics of deleted info. Our first visit to MBT had many problems... The cocktails drinks were poorly crafted (Bee's Knees & Bruno's Old Fashion), produce used in the appetizer was off (green tomato), & seafood entrees (seared scallops with risotto & linguine fruiti di mare) all had issues with quality and taste. The only thing that didn't have problems was the dessert (Italian Cream Cake). There was also some issues with service. I personally took issue with the non-recyclable to go packaging and it was super loud because the restaurant is all constructed with hard materials that bounce sound instead of absorbing.
Now the basics of the original review are done... I can give you an updated review!
Andriana reached out and she has been nothing but fantastic. MBT is lucky to have her as a general manager as her customer service is on point. I really appreciated how seriously she took our concerns.
We literally just got home from eating there... It was hard driving home in a food coma because our meal tonight was fantastic!
Our drinks were very tasty (Rose Sangria & Mint Julep) and we later figured out it was Adriana who made them. She knows how to make a proper drink. Our app, Meatballs Pomodoro was succulent and perfectly cooked on the inside with a gently crispy fried outside with a yummy Pomodoro sauce. The meatballs were huge too. I got the Filet A La Bebe; the steak was exactly the way I asked (med rare) with an interesting brandy cream sauce that had notes of mustard on top of a creamy pasta with asparagus wrapped prosciutto. My partner had the Costa Rica Style New York Strip and he loved it. It was cooked to his liking (med rare) and was covered with butter and a chimichurri sauce. It came with a loaded baked potato and a veggie medley of broccoli, chard, asparagus, and mushrooms. We got our desserts to go as we are stuffed but we got an Italian Cream Cake and a slice of Chocolate Cake. I have no doubt that they will be delicious later when we are able to eat again. All of our service tonight was great.
At the end of our dinner, we had a wonderful conversation with Adriana as we had points of commonality. Because of our much improved dinner and Adriana's customer service... We would definite eat here again.
P.S.- I was told the issues of nonrecyclable to go packaging is being worked on as that is something they've wanted to change. Also they were already researching and reaching out about adding sound absorption panels throughout...
Read moreWe had a business lunch, it’s a lovely open dining room. We all had the lunch buffet- soup, salad, pizza, calzones, pasta and desserts. It almost reminded me of when Pizza Hut did it in the 90’s and it was good, remember that? Everything tasted fresh and overall it was good. There’s a few things I would change if it were my restaurant: the position of the buffet by the front door really doesn’t work well, there’s 3 separate tables, it’s difficult to figure out where the beginning of the line is, there are only plates at the end of the salad bar- or perhaps it’s the beginning? Hard to tell because it’s got a pasta bar on the other side. Only one chafing dish is being used, the other sits empty- doesn’t give the best impression. Then desserts are on the other side- didn’t try, but looked good. The salad bar had some great additions, 3 different types of parmesean, artichoke hearts, summer sausage, green olives, ham, 2 other cheeses, sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes. That’s a lot of cheeses and not enough vegetables for me. Peas, carrots, green onions, cannellini beans, pickles, hard boiled egg, red cabbage etc. The lettuce spring mix and micro greens, no romaine or iceberg. Adding some crisper, lighter greens will work better with the feta-dill-ranch dressing. They also offer no croutons, or crunchy topper of any kind. I do love that they offer dried cranberries, walnuts and sliced almonds. They offer many expensive toppings whilst skipping some of the less expensive ingredients that will make it taste better to a wider audience, IMO. The pizza and calzones were good, generous toppings and lots of cheese. The buffet could use some more utensils to separate the slices, there is only a pie spatula- which is not the proper tool. There were only 2-3 pizza selections and 2 calzone selections. Not super clearly labeled as to what was in or on it, I could see balsamic on one but didn’t know if it was pear and goat cheese (mmm no thanks) or carmelized onions (yummy) so skipped it- I don’t want to waste. The pasta- tried the Alfredo, sauce was tasty! Pasta was over cooked, but I expected that since it was in a chafing dish. I’d definitely come back and order...
