The Dotted Pig Uptown — Local services in Rogers

I’ve been a returning customer for years to both the uptown and downtown locations of the store, Spending upward of $200 each visit. In fact, I just spent $300 in their downtown shop last week. Over the holidays, I purchased a lounge set by barefoot dreams for over $100 for the set. After one wear, there were multiple flaws in the material, creating several holes. I own several barefoot dreams products, and this is the first to behave this way, so it was clear that this is a product flaw. I took the outfit back to the shop for their evaluation; they said they would hold onto it and take a closer look. They held onto the outfit for Nearly 2 months without contacting me. I returned today for a followup, and they told me that they wouldn’t do anything because the manufacturer wouldn’t provide any sort of discount or replacement. They blamed the manufacturer, instead of taking any responsibility or commitment to quality service and items with their own customer. They made a profit off of this outfit, and denied any reimbursement to a loyal customer. In this case, it is the Business owner’s responsibility to address the issue in some format with a Credit, refund, something to acknowledge and make good the disappointment of a large expenditure and failure of a luxury item to a regular customer. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I used to rave about this store to friends and neighbors, but they have now Lost my trust and respect, with blatant disregard for the value of customer sentiment to the overall vibe of the shop. I could Easily find their products online, but made an intentional choice to shop local. We will not...

The shop itself was so cute and I wanted to be a fan but the customer service was terrible. The lady working the checkout counter was extremely rude and made us feel degraded. There was a misunderstanding about the sale items (it was a nativity scene that didn’t count as one of the Christmas items on sale ) and we went in less than 10 minutes after purchase to fix it. We asked to return the items and she was so hateful about it. She called the owner and talked about us like we were idiots right in front of us. Dotted Pig is my favorite go to store for any gifts. I needed a gift but had little time, I knew what I wanted and called store to see if I could pay over phone and if they could have ready for me to drop by to pick up.
