A lovely find just from riding my bike down the Greenway. My kids bickered for an hour while running errands and disagreeing about lunch today. We stopped here as newcomers, and suddenly all was right with the world. 😂 We will definitely be coming back.
The atmosphere was nice. There is an inside eating/shopping we really as well as a covered front patio with fans. Wooden interior was very nice. The store is a little limited and the view suffers from where they are. But that's a compliment disguised as a complaint. I hope they are able to do more over time.
Service was great. Human, quick, polite, genuine. I saw another review compare their wait to Chick-fil-A. Respectfully, that makes no sense whatsoever. Our wait was fine and honestly great - I hate waiting in line. And little things like patience for kids and newbies, considerate direction, and having extra napkins before we start and answering questions before we could ask are little things that go a long way and are a lost art.
Food was all great. They put hummus on the menu title but definitely try the dill dip that comes with it! So good and not represented on paper! Portions and prices felt fair. Ordered breakfast and lunch at like 1:30. Everything came out together, proper temps. Fresh veggies were impressive on a Monday. It certainly didn't seem like your typical chain sourcing. My kid with the salami sub inhaled it, while my picky eater gave his breakfast burrito two thumbs up.
Really appreciated the smoothie as well. Choice of milks, and though it was a "triple berry", there were obviously no syrups and frozen mashups thrown in ice. It was thick, natural, and overall just felt like the kind of food that is hard to find these days. I look...
Read moreOkay I don't normally post something like this but it kind of needs to be said. I was excited to try the food and the atmosphere seemed cute when approaching. Many people have mentioned that Nola's pantry offered healthier options. When walking in it seems cozy and inviting with mercantile shopping experience for gift items. Breakfast menu items looked good and even drip coffee was good. I ordered a sandwich and it fell short of being good for the price. Nothing really bad until I heard a lady I think she was the owner yelling at her staff about thier availability. I and another table of diners packed up our food and left immediately. It made the environment so uncomfortable that it's tainted my opinion. Being management myself and a former business owner... staffing problem conversations should never be had out in the open in front of customers. I hate to say that is enough for me not return and not recommend Nola's Pantry to anyone. I wish them luck. First secret to success is respecting your staff and maintaining a positive atmosphere no matter how...
Read moreWe were treated abruptly by the owner. She had taken a large phone order and was not able to serve other customers. We have been in the store for ten minutes before we attempted to order. When we got to the counter, the owner flipped around from the grill abruptly and said "I can't help you. It will be at least 45 minutes and didn't you read the sign?" We had no idea what she was talking about, as we did not see a sign, other than open, when we walked in. We put our merchandise back that we were going to purchase and walked out. As we left, we saw a sign behind the logo on the door which was not visible and evident they were not open. Most likely that sign was placed after we were inside. Either way, no need for the abrasive, unapologetic manner in which she treated us. We drove 45 minutes and walked 4 bockshe hot...
