The Rail is relatively close to my home and I’ve ordered from them a few times. The taste of the pizza is nothing remarkable. There is quite a bit of variability in their flavor. Sometimes it’ll have some flavor and other times it’s hard to distinguish from the cardboard it’s boxed in. In fact chain pizza has more flavor than most of their pies. The reason I’ve gone back a few times is because I really do endeavor to support local businesses and usually just hope for the best. Fast forward to my last order. I had called and placed an order for pickup. Upon entering the shop there was no one at the makeshift counter of tables they have constructed at the entrance and none of the staff seemed to be looking towards the front. Thinking shouting across the shop would maybe not be the best approach I stepped about 3 steps past the “counter” at which point a rather frazzled and rude woman waved at me to get back. My first interaction with someone upon entering was being waved off. Not a hi, hello or how are you? I have to admit I was a bit taken aback and consequently I then misspoke and stated I had put in an online order meaning phone order. I think I was still trying to process why someone would think it’s a good idea to unceremoniously wave someone back all while maintaining a disgusted look on their face before even saying a single word to them. Her response to my statement was a terse “We don’t have online ordering!” Not ah “oh you must mean phone order” which any logical and helpful person could infer.
Now I could perhaps let all of this go if I had gotten home and had an amazing pizza. Unfortunately the pizza I opened up to was paper thin, burnt, floppy and somehow soggy. And of course lacked any flavor.
In summation if you want to be made to feel like you’re a bother all while handing over decent money for subpar pizza well the...
Read moreThis is a follow-up to a previous review after a less than ideal first visit. I’m very happy to share that our most recent experience at The Rail was a complete turnaround — and truly outstanding!
While the food was delicious during our first visit as well, this time everything came together perfectly. We ordered the Thai and Louisiana hot wings along with The Meat Town Jones pizza, and everything was just as flavorful and satisfying as we remembered.
What really made the difference this time was the service. We were seated immediately, our server was attentive, friendly, and professional, and all of our tableware was spotless. From start to finish, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely comfortable.
We’re so glad we gave The Rail a second chance — it made all the difference, and we’re looking forward to coming back again!
Old Review: (This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like an inconvenience. We were told a booth was being prepared, but no one followed up, leaving us standing and waiting unnecessarily. Once seated, our server, Gabby, was abrasive and dismissive. She appeared rushed and irritated by our presence, responded rudely to simple questions, and reacted aggressively when we asked for clean cups—slamming replacements on the table and insisting they were all like that. The overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone expecting basic courtesy and professionalism.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, the server followed us outside and asked if there was an issue with the service. When we responded honestly, she yelled at us to...

Rail Pizza is, without a doubt, my favorite pizza spot! Not only do they serve up some of the best pizza in town, but they’ve also created a fun, unique atmosphere that makes every visit special. Their pizzas are a perfect combination of crispy crust, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings. Whether you're a fan of classic pepperoni or prefer more adventurous combinations, Rail Pizza has something to satisfy every pizza lover.
While the pizza is the star of the show, don’t miss out on their incredible wings and pork shanks. The wings are always perfectly crispy, sauced to perfection, and bursting with flavor. And the pork shanks? Tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone delicious. These are must-try items that elevate the menu beyond just pizza.
One of the standout features is their famous "Train Beers" special—every time a train rolls by, they offer a selection of beers on sale. It's a quirky, fun tradition that keeps the vibe lively and makes the experience even more memorable. You never know when the next train will come, so you’re always in for a surprise.
The staff at Rail Pizza are friendly and attentive, making sure you feel right at home. The cozy, laid-back atmosphere, combined with their great service, keeps me coming back time and time again.
