To be fair I like the food, the service is not so good. But, what makes me write this review today is what happened on Sunday March 29th 2015. I was headed to the lake for a day of fishing with my 2 maltese poodles and a friend. We stopped in for a burger at Sam's. We were towing a boat so we followed the instructions on the sign that directs boat and RV parking in the rear. As We parked on this beautiful cool day, we could see 2 Rottweiler dogs with their owner in the same lot. The owner of the Rottweilers stated to us that it would be ok if we let our dogs out because his dogs would not harm ours. I was not about to do that as we all know accidents have a way of happening. Since it was a cool day I rolled down the windows several inches and went into the restaurant.

After I ordered (about 5 minutes) I went back outside to check on the dogs and to check the temp in the truck. Everything was fine so I went back inside, ate, and paid.

As I headed back outside and toward the truck I could easily see that there were huge scratches on the drivers side of my 2 month old truck. I walked over and introduced myself to the Rottweiler owner and informed him that his dogs had messed up my truck trying to get to my dogs. He walked over to my truck to see the damage and stated, "they sure did, you bring your truck back on Friday and I'll buff it out for you".

I brought my truck to the body shop across from Sam's Club in Fayetteville, and the damage to both sides of the truck was assessed to be over $1300.00.

As of yesterday, The dog owner, who stated that he was the "watchman of the property) has been uncooperative in the handling of this situation. Also, as of Yesterday, the property owner of Sam's Old Time Burgers has not returned calls from my insurance company to get this situation...

I had my second visit here today. It was absolutely terrible. We got their "brisket sausage" sandwich, which had a hair firmly cooked in the bun, a children's cheeseburger that was supposed to have only ketchup and mayo, but came with grilled onions melted to it - my son dropped the burger on accident trying to get the onions off, and when we explained what happened, we got another burger, but was charged even though the first was wrong in the first place. We also got a Ruben and single rib, as we want to see how their ribs were with the smoker fired up outside - the rib was cold, and felt like it came from the refrigerator. The fourth meal we got was a chicken fried chicken and both the chicken and mashed potatoes were cold... Not one to normally complained, we let the children finish their food and went to pay and leave... The bill was $60. The most expensive item on the menu that we ordered was $8. They couldn't explain why it was so much, but oh well, we were already over the experience and wanted to leave. Out of curiosity, I looked up their menu online, and calculated my bill to $41, without tax... We turned around and went back to find out why we were overcharged, and they stated that not only is the menu online not updated, they would only give is $7 back after we pointed out that they charged us for the wrong burger and the correct one. We won't...

Inside was clean and nicely decorated...

Sheena our waitress was friendly... refills a little slow on drinks... but not bad.

I was having a hard decision between the burger and AYCE ribs... she encouraged the rib choice.... they were not so good..... ok... just not good... I ate 2 of the first 3 that were brought to me. And ate all the fries... fries were good. Potato salad not so good.

I asked to order a French dip instead.... it came with homemade chips (I love homemade chips).... the chips looked like they were done perfectly... but they had a burnt tase... I assume that the grease must have been burnt at some point... but the chips were not edible.

The sandwich was very good.... (French dip).

It was my wife and ... we are visiting from Oklahoma. The kicker was .. the ticket was $35.31 for the two of us (my wife had mushroom and Swiss burger... no bun ... and fries... it was "ok") ... by the time we left a tip this was a VERY expensive mediocre lunch.

I didn't expect co.plete discount of the ribs.... but getting charged for full AYCE ribs when I only ate two .... was...

We stopped to straighten out our GPS and smelled the smoker. We followed our noses. Our waitress Maryett (I hope that is close-sorry if I spelled it incorrectly). She was the best and deserves an A+ for cheerfulness, attentiveness, and great service. She brought us our drinks and menus, came back at least twice to see if we were ready and then took our orders. After that, she checked on us at least 5-6 times to be sure we had all we needed. Please owners, she went above and beyond in excellent service. We had the "all you can eat" rib platter with two sides. I had hand breaded onion rings that were superb. The cole slaw was tasty and not too sweet. Falling off the bone, delicious ribs that were so tender. We brought home slices of pie for later. I was so impressed with the over-all quality of the place. Thank you for a delightful dining experience. We already told two couples back at the RV park and will definitely stop the next time we are in Rogers.

We stopped in for to-go dinner on the way back from war eagle craft fair. We shared a rack of ribs and ordered pints of potato salad and Cole slaw- both of which the lovely lady at the counter said were in fact home made. The ribs were good! The sides...I'm sorry, I must take slight issue with. I got partial filled containers- not half filled, partially filled. The Cole slaw barely filled 2 ramekins. The slaw was very sweet. I drained it and added apple Cider vinegar to tarten. The potato salad, same partial fill as the slaw, needed some TLC too. I added chopped onion. More mayo, 2 hardboiled eggs and some Colemans mustard. It was tasty tasty tasty. I'd go back and try their burger and fries. There were other reviewers who mentioned it as being really good. My photos are interior and the back patio. Yall know what ribs look like ;)

Dinosaurs, Ribs & Burgers await you at this cool little diner just outside of downtown Rogers. Breakfasts are good but the fun starts with the lunch and dinner menu. Anywhere that boasts award winning smoked ribs gets my attention pretty quick thou more often than not they come up short. Sam's does fairly well, thou I'd stop a bit short of award winning, they were certainly good. Also good were the sides, especially the onion rings. The chicken fried steak wasn't in the same league. Thou it was breaded in house the meat and seasonings fell short. More than making up for the CFS was a very tasty pizza burger. It combines the best of two classic staples and does it well. Extra points for good house cut fries. Our server was excellent and very happily made suggestions and checked on us regularly.
