Smitty's Garage Burgers & Beer — Restaurant in Rogers

I agree with another review here saying this place has unfortunately gone downhill.

Our food took over 30 minutes to get to our table, and after those 30 minutes they told one of us that they couldn't do her order (chicken tacos) because they ran out of grilled chicken.

They did offer fried chicken as a replacement, though, which suggests they get their grilled and/or fried chicken delivered premade off a truck and not made fresh in house. They did not offer to comp the item due to lack of availability. The shift manager asked if we wanted to box up the fried chicken tacos, which would have meant one person spent the entire meal watching other people eat.

One of the burgers was overly salty, and all were far overcooked. I get that the thin smash style is supposed to have a nice crust, but the crust on my burger was just plain burnt. The fried chicken taco tasted like standard concession stand chicken tenders warmed in the fryer.

Finally, the bartender on duty was the only person serving alcohol to 20+ tables. I ordered two beers -- one priced at $5.50 and the other at $7.25. She said she accidentally closed the tab on the first beer ($5.50) and started a new tab on the second beer ($7.25) and apologized, saying I would have to do two different credit card transactions. I said sure, accidents happen. But when she gave me the two tabs, BOTH tickets were for a beer priced at $7.25. I didn't ask for a reprint because she was so busy at the time that I decided it wasn't worth the time. Truly I'm guessing it was another mistake made in the rush of trying to serve an entire restaurant by themselves.

All the issues above appear to be a higher management issue that has led to Smitty's producing poor food with menu shortages and staff worked beyond reasonable capacity. We will not...

It may not be Smitty's but just this town. I arrived around 8:35pm on a Saturday evening 2/29/20. I realize that may be late for a meal, but it's Saturday! NWA is lacking for entertainment in Rogers! There is no place to dance and the music is not very Diverse. Having said that to set the stage for my review, I was disappointed in Smitty's.

The place was practically empty. Two other people at the Bar (who I think worked there or were good friends with the Bartender) and three tables with people. The bartender although nice was not very interested in me as a customer. She disappeared several times when customers were looking for her to buy a drink and tab out from their table. That tells you about the table service. At one point the customer said back to his table and to me, "I guess it's all free"! He went back to his table and the bartender finally showed back up and he paid his tab.

People, it's a Leap year!! Have some specials to promote this unique event, have pride in your establishment and job!!

I ordered the blue burger without all of the extra toppings because that just makes the burger sloppy to eat. Even still the bun broke apart as I cut it in half. I am not a fan of a fall apart bun. The fries were good and the best part.

Overall, I would say give this place a Customer Service facelift, find another bun, Market for the area and special events to drawn in more customers. There are too many other places with a better burger and much better Customer Service (JJ's and Big Orange as examples). Will I be back? Probably, because I believe in second chances. However not...

Well - when we ordered (never been here before) they didn't give us a number- I notice everyone else has one- so I ask. "Oh- maybe they gave you the same number as your family in front if you?" - ok makes sense- they tell me my number - 49- I go back to the table near my sister ; she does NOT hv a 49- she has #20! 2nd time back- I tell him this & he says he will make a note of it on my ticket & wrote to find #20. - OK- works for me ! 3rd time I go back- (everyone that came when we did are now FINISHED w their burgers) & I ask where I dinner is- They'll find it and bring it to me- ok. 4th time - I hear so.eone calling out #49- & heard one saying 'does anyone know where #49 IS?' I get to the same man- and he totally does nit remember any of that- so I verify WHAT I ordered & we got our cooled down burgers & 1 order of onion rings (Don't try to split those! We had 4 SMALL onion rings in the dish!) IF they had been super busy- or even really busy- I would come closer to getting it & moving on- but there was only 1 customer in front of me & my husband & my sister & her daughter !

I don't get it - it shouldn't be hard.

At Luke warm /cool - it just wasn't anything to ever go...
