I pulled up to Walnut Waffle House in Rogers around approx 2:39 A.M. or before for an early breakfast. I noticed one table inside with no apparent customer vehicles outside. After parking, a cook came outside to have a smoke break. I walked up to him and the door and asked how it was going and he replied “not so good, my server just walked out on me” I said “really?, just take your time man, I’ll be ready whenever you’re done.” He was polite and took my order, cooked my food and caged me out. My order was to go but as I was sitting in my truck, I wanted to show a bit more appreciation. I walked back inside and made sure he was okay. I learned from talking to him that his server had a car load of people who approached him and ended up intentionally spilling drinks on a dining table, making a huge mess because he refused to let her leave early at 2:00 am when she was scheduled until 7 am. He said he attempted to contact the manager, who is normally responsible for after hour phone calls for numerous reasons, but wasn’t able to get the manager to answer his call. This young guys name was Colton and was visibly shook and nervous the entire time I spoke to him. I give this employee a 5 star rating for his performance and initiative but I give a 1 star rating for the poor performance of the management responsible for handling these issues. There should a manager on call 24/7 relating to the stores...
Read moreThis used to be a five star review. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat.
All until last Sunday.
Went to eat for the first time after recovering from having the stomach flu the week of Thanksgiving. Needless to say I was starving.
I ordered a grilled chicken hashbrown bowl and added tomatoes and onions.
I got a grilled chicken hashbrown bowl with no onions or tomatoes and ham added.
No big deal. Things happen. I just asked for some tomatoes and grilled onions to throw in there.
Then I found a hair.
So I obviously need my food remade. It takes nearly 20 more minutes for it to come out. I sit there with nothing, starving while others at my table eat their food at my insistence.
Savannah, my waitress, said not to worry and she apologized profusely. She said it would be discounted.
By the time I got my food I couldn't even eat it.
She brought the check and they gave me 10% off. That's it.
It was actually pretty insulting honestly.
I doubt I will even go back at this point and we were regulars. Usually Ashley was our server and we love her.. I honestly can't wait to tell her this.
I felt like 10% was insulting because that was like a dollar off for food that I didn't even eat and waited forever for after finding hair in it.
They also gave me a water with food floating in it.
Not a good...
Read moreI went to the Waffle House in Rogers, AR, #2341, for breakfast this morning, 8/5/22 at 9:05. The waitress, Rachel, took my order, (Ham & Cheese Omelet, Hash Browns, Dry Wheat Toast). She started going back & forth between the low counter & the window booths serving & taking orders. She finally placed my order at 9:25 & that was only after another waitress said something to her. It gets better. Several customers got tired of waiting & walked out. Rachel then proceeds to tell other customers that it will take a while for their orders & that several customers had already walked out. Several more walked out. The diner wasn't even that bust at that time. My friends & I have breakfast at this Waffle House every Sunday morning. We are even called the Sunday Morning Breakfast Club. Some of your staff even know our order & put it in when we walk through the door. We like this Waffle House. I hope my experience this morning was an exception & not things to come. It was bad enough to call my order up 20 minutes after she took it, but to tell other customers that people were walking out due to the lousy service is unacceptable. She even had the nerve to tell a customer who complained not to get mad at her....
