My husband and I are foodies to say the least. We were very spoiled living in the DFW area for several years being exposed to many different cultures and lots of cuisines. We moved to Rolla less than 24 hrs ago. We decided to hit a bar and grill near us but quickly walked out due to the uncleanliness of the establishment. If you have that many tables dirty then what does your kitchen look like?
Last minute we decided to hit the Public House. I think it may have been one of our best experiences. The establishment is clean, they brew in house which always makes for a wonderful decor. Super clean establishment from what we saw. We are huge lovers of anything charcuterie. They really have amazing cheeses and meats that hit the spot. The additional side of pickled onions, peppers and tomatoes hit hard. Loved it!! It’s one of the best boards we have had to date in its simplicity. For dinner we split a Pig, Fig and Apple plate. I am not a sandwich person and even I enjoyed it thoroughly. The balsamic for the salad accompanied with the dried fig was a perfect combination. Our server was polite, attentive, knowledgeable and he did a great job. We will definitely be coming back to this...
Read moreOverall experience was pleasant. Service was good, food was tasty, and beer was great. Tried a flight and all four samples were great. So good I order growlers to go of the most tasty Elusive IPA. Out of growlers I elected the large to go cans instead, no big deal. Thirty something ounces for nine bucks, ok I’ve seen worse and thought the beer was good. The catch, three bucks for the can each, wow, ok. So, I’m into each can now for twelve bucks, get back to the house and crack a bad boy open, it’s a “B&B mild” beer, not bad on taste, but a 3% can of beer for twelve bucks is a nice kick in the crotch. Take away, go have a pint but hit up the local grocery store for home beer’s, you’ll save four plus dollars for a six pack and more importantly, get the...
Read moreThis location was a recommendation of my local daughter while we were in town visiting.
I enjoyed my time here but was not impressed. Seating where we were was awkward next to steps with limited the seating at the table.
I ordered the Roast Beef Panini. The horseradish and blue cheese were tasty together, but I thought the panini was very much lacking roast beef and the panini was a bit soggy. The chips were tasty and would love to have more.
The other guests with me appeared to have larger portions of their order (one was vegetarian, so that could be why). The sandwiches were affordable.
Beer menu was not very broad in my opinion.
I might come back here if the mood dictates that, but there are other places to try for the few times I...
