My son and I decided to use the two for one coupon we had, so we went to the West Rome Wendy's on Shorter Avenue, about 5:30 Tuesday December 10, 2013. While I was ordering, two young men came running through the door and behind the counter, yelling "...we're late, we're late!". We finally got our order, and half ate it, because we discovered the meat was raw in the center. I took it back, and they offered me a refund of $4, after I told them I did not want another hamburger. I was sick to my stomach all night and even for a while this morning. In addition, I noticed the chili didn't even taste like Wendy's chili. We were preparing to leave, when I heard them call out that they needed more chili up front. Guess I got the dregs of that batch of chili. WARNING!!! Popeye's is coming to Rome, and so is Church's Chicken. Last time Church's didn't make it, because it didn't taste like Church's chicken. My son had recently gotten lousy food at the Turner McCall Blvd. Wendy's. A big name doesn't mean you'll get the business. I am (or was) a big Wendy's fan. It would take more than a two for 1 coupon to get me back. The only good part of the visit was the lady at the counter. I think her name was Haley. She was...
Read moreStopped here on the evening of 3/6/22 after ordering and paying for my order using the mobile app. The drive thru line was excruciatingly slow and the female taking drive thru orders was very rude and not helpful at all. They didn't have my order in their system and, after confirming I was at the right location, told me they have nothing to do with the app so they couldn't help me. It's the Wendy's app, not third party, so either this employee has not been trained correctly or just doesn't care. Also, when I first pulled up, she read off a laundry list of all the things they didn't have, including fries and most of their drinks. Overall, they were slow, unprofesssional, and I suspect lazy. It may just be this particular shift at this location, but the experience was so bad I will never return. I ended up going to the Sonic across the street, which was fast, friendly, professional, and not out of everything. If I want Wendy's, I will go to the one on the opposite side of town (1700 Turner McCall Blvd) which offers everything this location doesn't. Management should probably visit that location and...
Read moreI had given The Wendy's on shorter ave 2 stars before but now it's a one. I ordered the homestyle chicken sandwich meal and ask for the fries to be fresh, (thinking the sandwich will automatically be fresh), but to no avail, the sandwich an fries tasted warmed over so it would be hot when I received it, but when we got home (which only takes approximately 3mins from the restaurant), food was hard and old...also, when we got to drive through , noone came to the speaker until my husband kept saying "Hello, Hello". So, I called and spoke with manager about it and she agreed to replace the whole meal and she admitted it probably was old food. I appreciate her trying to fix it, but they may need to think about hiring a better cashier...she wasn't pleasant and this is the 2nd time I had to experience this....so no I dont reccomend this location until they find more suitable employees who care more about their work and the customers. It use to be my favorite place, but it's far...
