Have been to this location 4 times. 3 times great experience, huge portions, good flavor. This last time was so bad my entire family won't be going again.
What happened: They had a new brisket I was interested in trying, get up to the counter after a long wait and find out they had no beans (of any kind), with no sign or even saying 'Hi, welcome to Chipotle (which they didnt do at all); just so you know we're out of beans.' The people behind me didn't even order after their long wait when they finally found out.
"Ok," I think, "maybe they'll offer a discount or a substitution like more meat." No. In fact, I got the least amount of meat I've ever had at a chipotle (mind you, you pay more for the brisket).
I've seen the online stories of varying portions but I thought it was fake until today. I don't know if it was the worker, new policy or what, but I got what looked like half of the 'portion device' used to throw (literally) meat carelessly into the bowl (0 for presentation).
Usually I get so much food that this time around I ordered a bowl thinking the tortilla was empty calories (and I have a problem with loving tortillas, so let that tell you how much fillings they used to give)
At the end of it all, everything felt so lacking and I spent $12+ to get a 'bowl' with: a very small amount of brisket (some of which was fat), brown rice, some salsa, shredded cheese, and some lettuce, that's it; they don't even have anything else to add (I never realized how much beans played a role in their burritos); other than avacado (and they want $2+ for that!).
Ruined Chipotle for me and it was growing on my list as a favorite. So buyer beware, because their slogan should be 'Chipotle: Your milage may vary!'
Update: I emailed them (detailing this experience) as they requested in a reply to this review and they sent an email back that said 'sorry.' No offer of compensation in any way, just a generic copy/paste apology. Way to confirm my choice to stay far away from...
Read moreInconsistent opening time, confusing portions, frustrating up charges simply for asking extra, cleanliness issues, bathrooms with intense odors. My last time in the restaurant, after waiting fifteen minutes for them to open, the server, who I could hardly understand, began to take my order, then started fidgeting with a chaffing dish instead. She took a random spatula from the kitchen to remove the dish off from the counter after struggling with it for a minute and then put the spatula back where she found it. I asked for a kids tacos and asked for rice, beans, and sofritas. She said some things but didn't understand her, so I repeated my order. She was purposely giving me the smallest portion possible. What really frustrated me was when she goes to add sofritas, takes a spoonful of it, puts it in the plate, then REMOVED half of it. I was puzzled, so I asked for a little extra. She said, I think, that's "the kids portion, it'll be extra." I could tell she was aggravated by my asking her for more, because she took a other spoonful, added it to the dish and then started telling the sweet girl with glasses at the cash register to upcharge me. The total should have be $5.70, but suddenly, it balloons to $9.40, the server saying that's the price for extra. In my mind, all I could think of was, WTF, I could have ordered a regular bowl and get so much more on it, but she wanted to teach me a lesson about asking for extra, and instead getting an extra "side". So, I walked out. Never again will I go back to this Chipotle. I'm embarrassed by the whole thing, having to ask for a little extra, the server randomly rationing food at a corporate establishment where food is thrown away often, I've seen them place food in a bowl or burrito, it falls off, and they just throw it away. Having to walk out of there because the ridiculous upcharge was my call, but I will not support this restaurant any longer. It's not the first problem I've had there, but it's...
Read moreThis has been the 5th or 6th time using the app. The app is easy to navigate. The drive up window sucks and the customer service is Horrendous at best. Seems they all have attitudes & don't care about the business. If they did care about the business, they'd treat the customer better & be more courteous.. Not be short or snappy with the customers.. I've worked retail most of my working days 20+ yrs. Some of my old companies would fire on the spot, If they heard the crass, snotty, rude way Chipotle employees talk to you.. This last time, (today) I thought I'd try again and get the 3 tacos (brisket)... they were super nasty, soggy, & stuck together & the tortillas ripped apart when I picked one up. The worst part is that it was 12.80 for 3 very small tacos,(2 bite each) what a Rip off. The food was not great, it didn't seem fresh, But the customer service was awful.
We waited at the window 6 minutes before a girl came up & and asked what name it was under, I told her that I've been here 6 minutes without even being adressed (that's a long time in a drive thru), the girl proceeded to tell me that my order " just popped up" I said "ohh you mean that bag right there that says my name on it ?, the bag I've watched for 6 minutes. I asked her if my order had just popped up, why did the app send me a notification 6 -8 minutes ago stating it was ready. Her reply was " Is there anything else I needed?" I said, "Not this time, but maybe next time, be more courteous & quicker to address the customer at the window. She rolled her eyes & sighed & shut the...
