I chose to stop at QD for dinner for 2 reasons 1: I unexpectedly left work later then planned a d thus my blood sugar was dropping. I became very light headed dizzy and my vision blurred and decided to stop for dinner instead of taking time to prep a meal at home 2: DQ is known for their higher quality ice cream and the turning over of the blizzard cups to ensure a cold and solid product (which is not what was delivered). From the moment I entered the drive thru to leaving I was not greeted with a simple hi or a smile. When asking the representative what ingredients made up my blizzard option I was met with im not sure ( which this is literally the reason why a person might want a blizzard) and then when asking for more clarification I was told the base could be chocolate ice cream or vanilla ice cream and that they did not know. Ignoring this i ordered a blizzard anyway (again going off of DQ advertising). Next i was interested in the fish sandwich. I asked what came on the fish sandwich and was informed it had mayonnaise. I then asked to have the mayonnaise removed and what additional items to add. At the window I asked for a dipping sauce and felt asking was a bother to the staff (again not greeted with a smile or a simple hello). I live 3 minutes from this DQ location and by the time I got home my blizzard (which was not turned up side down in drive through and was in a cup with a flat lid) was liquefied. The ice cream felt warm upon consumption and very clearly tasted like card board. (I have taken a picture and video for proof of consistency) after 1 bite i threw it away due to it being inedible (which is almost a 5$ up charge) . BTW the ice-cream was chocolate. My fish sandwich was very mushy - the buns were not toasted thus giving the bread a soggy texture and there was a white dressing on the sandwich (which may have appeared to be tarter sauce- not totally sure) which was not the mayonnaise I was informed and which was not a sandwich with no dressing as I requested. I substituted my fries for onion rings and received the smallest container possible with 6 onion rings in it (which is a 2$ up charge). Overall I am not very impressed with this location upon looking for an urgent meal and do not plan to bring my or my family's...
Read moreUpdate 11/13: we came back today for dinner and it was so much better. The staff was professional and nice. Food came out right and without a long wait. Much better experience this time, will be coming back again.
10/30: We came through the drive thru tonight. We had to give our order 5 different times, because they kept forgetting stuff (6 piece chicken tender, 4piece chicken tender, small blizzard and large blizzard). We tried to excuse it saying maybe the employee was new. We got to the window and the 2 employees appeared to be high (making an assumption based on appears and how they were acting). They gave us the wrong large blizzard, they forgot we ordered food, after waiting after getting our blizzards the employee said "can I help you with something" (with an attitude). I informed them we still didn't get our food. He just said oh and closed the window. After a while later they gave us our food (with an attitude) and we pulled forward to check it. We saw neither one of us got our gravy, we pulled back around to let them know (now there were 4-5 cars in line in front of us). They said we can pull around to the window, I said that we don't want to wait in line while our food gets cold, at this point I was annoyed and may not have said it with the nices tone, but still was not yelling or called names. Employees responded with an attitude "you can just come inside if you want it so bad". (Lobby looked closed due to all the chairs being up) when I went inside the girl employee had a snotty smirk on her face when I asked if there was a manger on duty. She said he was busy doing the dishes. I walked out saying I will be reach out at a later time
We have never had this problem before, my husband is an icecream lover so DQ is a family favorite. Also, I try really hard to be understanding and kind to people working in customer service roles since I know they deal with rude people and I too have worked in the field when I was younger. But the is a point with it is just...
Read moreNo more hand dipped silly bars 😢 Much to my dismay, I stopped at this location for the signature hand dipped silly bars with the "stumps" in paper wrappers just like when we were kids and found that they no longer have them since it is "under new management". I ended up having to wait a LONG time to place my order because the 1 staff person who was allowed to run the register was busy making food since they have added a ton of food items. Since there is another DQ just up the road with a full menu---why add it all here? It had the draw of being an old fashioned DQ. We don't need yet another of the cookie cutter corporate DQ!!!! I stopped to get my sick 6 year old his favor treat since he had a fever. He was SOOOOOO disappointed when I told him the news. I won't be back unless the hand dipped silly bars come back. I am sure I am not the only one who feels...
