For a long time, after Covid recovery & Restaurant just reopened for Dim Sum for probably a year with no Dim Sum carts going around like before, this was the first time today Sat 8/5/23 that is ate Dim sum here. It was a big disappointment!!! We ordered a Roast pork plate that cost $20 but only had a few pieces of roast pork & almost none of these pieces were not good! (You can buy roast pork at the food to go counter probably at about $10 with better quality? What a rip off at Dim sum), a fried rice with roast pork chopped into pieces which cost $16 (not include almost 20 percent tax) which was much worse than a rice dish with roast pork with crispy skins & two vegetables pieces served ất Samwoo Barbecue Restauran nearby 6th st on Valley, Alhambra Alhambra & cost only $13! For Dim Sum, we ordered egg tarts & shrimp noodle rolls which were pretty good but the peanuts with pork dumplings and the pork Siu Mai was ok so so. Total with tea , $1.50 each person, we paid plus tax &tip approximately $80 for 4 people & of course we were not full . Lots of for fried rice were not eaten since it was too bad! Here they used to cook fried rice well. I thought they might change the chef. That was why the place was not full at Sat Dim sum lunch! Even restaurant was not full & busy, services were very inattentive! Nobody cared to ask us if we needed anything. I had to rise up from my seat twice to ask for the regular condiments like mustard, chili & soy sauce. I don’t think we will return here in the future! Very below standards. You had better eat at NBC on Atlantic, Monterey park where food is much better & service more...
Read moreThis place has been a stable establishment for many years and it is holding up in good shape. It's an up to date Chinese restaurant. It has two general areas one for day to day and another for large banquets and only available for that purpose. Went for brunch and the order form is the menu with pictures. For better for worse, the prices for different categories of dim sum are manually filled so check that and make sure you know what's going to cost. We had chicken feet, stream spare rib, shrimp dumplings, veg-meat dumplings, sweet filling pineapple buns, shredded roast duck meat vermicelli, and seafood fries noodle. All were very good. Well prepare for taste and presentation. Service was excellent on a weekday lunch service. But the dining hall wasn't too busy and we had 3 staff circling us while also chit chatting with frequented customers. The spare rib wasn't all fat, prepared properly for size and layers with taro at the bottom. Chicken feet well cooked for tenderness. Nails trimmed and leg bone not shattered leaving bits everywhere. Shrimp dumplings up to par with size. The shiu mai was smaller than expected. Tasted fine. The veg-meat streamed dumpling was 3 count instead of 4. I guess it could be saucier but give it the benefit of the doubt I waited before eating it after it arrived. Speaking of that, given everything was ordered on paper and not ad hoc from push carts, so I put this as the up to date Chinese restaurant and not the old school halt the cart and pull stuff off to eat old school...

I can see it theirs signal for wanting us to leave so they can have other customers to be seated , customers already standing next to us , while my husband had gone to the restroom they brought me the tap I gave her my credit card , I waited for husband to come back to sign it , we can not believed ours own ears the staff she asked us NO TIPS NO TIPS in very heavy accent , when we're dining out we've always leaves at least 20% gratuity for server , this restaurant is clean and beautiful but poor Management ! To be honest I didn't want to come here because I 've already knew the service is bad , just convenience since is close to our Primary Care Office and I didn't want my father to be tired , he was hospitalized for 5 days I just want something quick , we waited long for a bowl of rice and soy sauce , when it's...
