My girlfriend and I came here on accident. We were planning to go to a different restaurant with a similar name, but ended up here on Memorial Day. We checked reviews and pictures to decide whether we’ll just try them and we were glad we did! She was craving pho and got her fixed. I liked the broth as well, but maybe a slight too sweet for me. Might not be noticeable for others or others who may prefer to have their pho broth a bit sweet. It’s very minimal though.
We ordered their fried eggrolls which was extremely crunchy, crispy, and filled with great flavors. The herbs (Thai coriander, mint, lettuce, pickled daikon/carrots) they served it with really surprised me and got me thrilled. $13 for that price still makes me question it just a bit, but I’m not upset by it either as flavors, freshness, and portions seemed quite fair.
I ordered their catfish noodle (vermicelli) soup with a lot of other proteins and veggies. Extremely tasty after adding their ginger chili oil from the side condiments. I’ve never had condiments like it and it was amazing! I added everything else that came with the soup and it tasted great. I would’ve wished I had taken a photo of my soup and the picture in their menu. When it came out, I felt so let down and scammed lol. The actual bowl when delivered did not look anything close to the photo, which made me a bit sad and didn’t take a photo. The biggest thing that I was more upset on was the crispy pork belly in my soup. Cut really thin where it got too soggy too quick and couldn’t enjoy the thickness and chew in the mouth. I want to believe they’re busy and need to lower portions which is upsetting.
Other than that! Service and wait time wasn’t bad. We had about 7 people in front and waited around 15-20mins which seems pretty quick in my opinion. Our server was quick and when he was busy the other servers/staff were gladly to help us when they noticed us looking for our server.
Overall amazing time even by accident and we were a bit upset on going to the wrong place lol. Definitely coming back and bringing others for sure!

Read moreGolden Delight, the newly opened Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant on Valley Boulevard, is already making waves. As the first branch of the popular Golden Delight on Garvey Avenue, it promises a fresh dining experience for locals and visitors alike.
🌟 Ambiance and Decor: 4/5 Upon entering, you’ll notice the abundance of gold decor. From the water pitchers to the utensils and even the scissors, everything gleams with opulence. The recent renovation has transformed the space into something entirely different, fitting for a new establishment.
🌟 Service: 4/5 The youthful staff at Golden Delight is friendly and attentive. They swiftly took our orders, ensuring a smooth dining experience. It’s refreshing to see a younger crew maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service.
🌟 Menu and Food: 4/5 Unlike its sister location on Garvey, this branch focuses exclusively on Vietnamese cuisine. We tried the Charbroiled Pork and Egg Roll with vermicelli, as well as the Pork Chop and Egg Roll with tofu skin and broken rice. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot-on. However, my pork chop had a bit more fat than I preferred.
🌟 Pricing: 3/5 Golden Delight offers reasonable prices, especially considering the portion sizes. Some menu items, like Banh Beo, are not yet available, but that’s understandable for a new restaurant.
🌟 Overall Impression: Golden Delight has room to grow, given its recent opening. With another location on Garvey Avenue, they should fine-tune their menu offerings. I’ll give them a few more months to settle in before revisiting. Parking can be a challenge, so consider...
