Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Rosemount

Do NOT give Rosemont Chipotle any business unless their management and customer service improves.

I had ordered delivery twice within one week from this Chipotle and both times they completely ruined my order. In the first delivery (9/18/2020) I had ordered a chicken bowl, medium chips w/guac, and an Izzy. They completely left out my drink. In the second delivery (9/25/2020), I ordered two steak bowls and two chicken bowls with a large chip & guac. They gave me three chicken bowls, one salad, and completely left out the chips. In addition to the wrong meat, everything in the bowls were completely wrong as well. I paid $56 for that entire meal and delivery services, and in actuality, they gave me a $39 dollar meal. ABSURD!

To make things worse, they do not have a customer service line so we can contact them directly. They have their phone number listed, but they NEVER answer. In addition, they tell us to contact their delivery partners if we did not order from their app (GrubHub, Uber eats, etc)and they provide their OWN number for their delivery services. Their "delivery customer service number" is actually DoorDash's customer service number. So the process of getting my order fixed was such a waste of time and effort because I cannot even contact Chipotle without actually having to go into the store, which completely ruins the reasons why I wanted my food delivered in the first place. For my first order, Doordash was so kind and refunded me the cost of my drink and additional money for inconveniences. The second time, Doordash was kind enough, again, to escalate my order to Chipotle so they can give me a refund since the order is a bigger scale. However, Chipotle has yet to contact me back. (It's been a full day already and I still have not heard from them)

DO NOT GO TO THIS CHIPOTLE IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MEAL TO BE RUINED

• This is an update - Former rating = 1 __ 9/18/2017 * Hands down, much better! I took a few-month hiatus from this location. I have been there twice in the same number of weeks, and it was a far better experience! There was a line (not to the door these times), and I was ordering within minutes. The orders were accurate and tasted great. The staff were in tune with each other, professional, and pleasant to work with. Keep it up! Y'all are doing much better! Maybe I'll bump it up to five stars within my next few visits :)

What I am about to say has been said before, but apparently it is falling on deaf ears. 50 minutes; from the time that I got to the door, and when I finally paid for two items. Having worked in restaurants off and on for 20 years, I have rarely seen a staff so lethargic and out of tune with each other! One employee in particular, who was responsible for the sauces and veggies, should refrain from explaining to each customer how they have worked a 10 hour shift without a break. Tell you what kiddo, we don't care! We have all done it, and some of us in our mid to late forties still do it, and don't mind! That is life! That is a good paycheck! That attitude reinforces the fear that us older people will be taking care of you when you are 40 years old, versus the other way around! But, the most important aspect of that conversation that you were trying to have with every customer is, it is extremely inappropriate. Besides the crunchy rice, the food tasted good. Chipotle is one of the fastest paced fast-food restaurants; the demands for hustling during the rushes is key to their success. This town waited a long time for one, and we would sure love it if these kids would show better work ethic...

Let me tell you, the Rosemount, MN Chipotle is a breath of fresh air – literally, because the air isn't filled with the screams of a "mean lady" or questionable music choices. My wife and I have been twice, and both times were absolutely phenomenal. The staff here is genuinely great; the cashier even complimented my Star Wars shirt, which instantly tells you they've got good taste and a pleasant demeanor. The atmosphere is actually pleasant, allowing for actual conversation and enjoyment of your meal. It's almost like they understand what a restaurant is supposed to be!

This is a stark contrast to the chaotic nightmare that is the Lakeville Chipotle, which, sadly, is closer to me. Last time we dared venture there, we were treated to a "mean lady" who seemed to specialize in yelling at customers, and then they decided to crank up some thrash rock on the radio. Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good thrash anthem, but it was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak, and it was about as appropriate for a dining experience as a mosh pit at a tea party. Frankly, that Lakeville location gives the entire Chipotle franchise a bad name.

What could be improved? Honestly, the Rosemount store is doing everything right. As for Lakeville? Lakeville would be better served with a dispensary in its location – at least then its customers would have a valid reason for their confused expressions.

Any other comments or tips for other customers? If you value your sanity, your hearing, and a genuinely good Chipotle experience with friendly staff, do yourself a favor and make the trip to the Rosemount, MN location.
