My husband and I stopped by for the first time on a Friday afternoon about 1pm. That was a very clean restaurant and only had a few customers in it. We were really excited because of all the Good things that we had heard and the wonderful pictures posted on Google reviews. It’s a family friendly place with a lot of different items on the menu. They’ve got wine, beer, and cocktails as well. At first look/arrival we were already excited to come back with our kids. (It’s also really cool because currently it looks into the hockey rink next-door. I believe the hockey wink is going away, but it’s still a cool concept. Very Minnesotan.) After ordering, we had to wait about 25 minutes for food, which in my opinion, on a non-busy day, is a long time. Our waitress was very nice and did seem to understand when to check back. Unfortunately, things to return when the food arrived. My husband ordered the Korean Bulgogi bowl, and I ordered the French dip sandwich. Neither of us enjoyed our meal. Presentation was decent, But they were major issues with each meal. I do wanna say that we are not food snobs— We don’t go out often and don’t usually go to fancy restaurants. We’re big fans of pub and American restaurant style foods as well as Asian foods. Being Asian ourselves, we do have a higher Standard for Asian cuisine because we make it ourselves at home. The Bulgogi, Korean beef bowl way too salty, and the rice was soggy and soaked in the soy/oyster sauce. My husband had expected the kimchi to actually be immersed in the rice, but it was not. He ended up eating only the beef and a few spoons of rice bad nothing else. This is the first time we’ve left food uneaten at any restaurant before. The French dip seasoning was decent, and the tater tot’s were fried nicely. The meal broke apart when it came to the bread. The bread Was too light and fluffy and closer to the lines of a hotdog bun. It wasn’t strong enough to hold the sandwich together and it made it very difficult to eat. It came looking a little mushy, but I disregarded it and decided to give it a shot. Definitely tasted just like it looked. Although I believe it, it’s a great place that a lot of people gather to hang out, the food is just okay. Not worth the price, in my opinion. Maybe we just got unlucky and pitched the two worst dishes on the menu… Walking away with the $45 bill and only really liking tater tots is a little sad. We will not be returning. Sad as this location is really close to us and could’ve been a family hotspot.

I recently attended my sister's engagement party here, which was set up in the banquet room of the restaurant. First- the space was nice and cozy and a great setting for this particular party of 32 people. The lighting was nice, decor inviting, and the tables had an ample amount of space between them. Second - I ordered the caesar salad which was fresh, and the cabernet sauvignon wine was surprisingly flavorful. I also nibbled off my Dad's salad mix with fresh sesame tuna slices which was super yummy! All the party guests seemed to very much enjoy their food. Burgers, pizza, fish, salads, etc. were all ordered. Third - my center issue was that for a party this size only 1 waiter was provided. This was felt with the timing of how long it took for order placement and for all items to be served - two waiters would have been useful. Overall, I'm giving this place a 3-star review because while all the food and drinks were good, nothing was exceptional. All the staff members were very nice and polite but more help was needed. This is a good family spot as it has lots of games/activities, affordable prices, and variety in its menu options.

We unfortunately decided to come here for breakfast. I called in advance and found out that there was no wait for a table (Saturday, 10 AM). The restaurant was completely empty, which should have been a sign that we didn’t choose wisely. My bacon was see through, soggy - not at all crispy, it was just mainly fat. I also had a raw potato amongst my “breakfast potatoes”, I nearly gagged and had to spit it out. Even though there were 4 staff members for an empty restaurant, nobody came to check on us and ask how is the food. Also, once the bill came, and I gave them my credit card, the server disappeared with it for a VERY long time, which was a concern for me and I will keep an eye on my credit card charges. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and said it tasted just ok, but did end up having an upset stomach later. Never again.

My experience at Fireside Grill and Bar was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the amazing food, the unique setting with a hockey rink, and most importantly, the incredible service provided by Olivia, their standout bartender. As someone who is five months pregnant, Olivia's commitment and enthusiasm are awe-inspiring. She manages to be attentive and kind, making every guest feel personally looked after.

The food here is a gastronomic delight, with flavors that tantalize the taste buds and presentations that please the eye. Combined with the fun and lively atmosphere of a bar set alongside a hockey rink, it creates an ambiance that is both exciting and comfortable. But what truly sets Fireside Grill and Bar apart is Olivia. Her authentic, personable approach, coupled with her exceptional skill in mixology, elevates the entire experience.

Olivia's engaging banter and genuine personality not only make every visit enjoyable but also turn first-time guests into regulars. Her ability to connect with customers, despite the physical demands of her pregnancy, is nothing short of remarkable. She is the heart and soul of the place, making Fireside Grill and Bar not just a venue for great food and fun but a destination for those seeking a memorable and enjoyable outing.

In summary, while the excellent food and the unique experience of dining next to a hockey rink are significant draws, it is Olivia’s exceptional service that truly makes Fireside Grill and Bar a must-visit destination. Her dedication to her craft and her ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere are the defining factors that make every visit a...

We came here this evening because we won a $25 gift card at a fundraising banquet for DanO Fund, an organization that raises money to support nonprofits that offer mental health services and education, aiming to end the stigma of mental illness, to help to decrease suicide rates, and open pathways to mental health resources.

First off, I commend The Fireside Bar & Restaurant for being kind and supportive to give to this important local cause.

Secondly, our visit was outstanding for numerous reasons. The first being, right off the bat we were greeted with smiles and kindness, followed by efficiency.

So often when entering a restaurant these days, the basics of service are nowhere to be found. Didn't happen here. Service and friendliness were excellent and genuine.

Secondly, the they have an all day happy hour every day that starts the $$ visit off in the right column. You can get a decent adult beverage without exceeding or equaling what you spend on food if you choose to do so.

Thirdly, the menu choices are familiar enough to find your favorites, but unique enough to be intriguing. The Asian Shortrib Bowl was amazing!

The atmosphere is welcoming and down to earth, including a comfortable outdoor patio.

We will definitely be back, and we'll be recommending Fireside Restaurant & Bar to family and friends. Give it a try--you'll be...
