Service and food could use improvement. Went on a Saturday evening, they were fairly busy. Seated within a few minutes and waitress was friendly, table was clean and nice atmosphere. Everything was good until our orders came. The rolls were almost burnt (hard and really dark on top), considering that I have had full conversations with friends/family/coworkers on which restaurant has the best bread, the management may want to think about putting more effort into their bread. I ordered a steak medium rare - the person who brought the food did not ask me to cut into it which should be an automatic. Waitress came right after food was delivered to fill up my water and I asked her for butter. After that - she did not come over once to check on us, bring me the butter or refill anyone's drink. My steak was oddly cooked too - I cut into it and it was completely grey in the middle (well done), but didn't taste bad and since the waitress never came back I just ate it. A few of the bites around the outside though were rare, thinking their grill was not evenly cooking the steak. At the end we had to ask another waiter to get our waitresses attention to get the check. I would give them another chance because the food was mostly good, but if I receive similar service again I wouldn't come...

There was a big piece of the bow broke off, then it was a bad crack from on side to the other side. I said you call yourself the owner. You would actually let someone eat from this bow cracked, all the way from one side to the other. The big chip was as big around as a nickle. I told the young owner of the restaurant that if it was my restaurant I would have never brought something like that to the table. I told him I worked restaurant business all my life. We was never to put nothing out there with a chip, we had to check our plates and our bows. Be waiter that waited on us was very rude. The waiter was rushing us. I would like to go back cuz my husband loves the liver and onions from there from there. Even with the managers attitude I would not even invite none of my friends there. God bless that manager at Joe's Oyster Bar to me I'm sorry that you have the problem in your restaurant like that. Hope you will do better next time. Put a one star but you don't deserve that one. The way you treat your customers you won't have nobody before long. God bless you, I hope you do better in your business in the days to...

Pleasantly surprised by this spot. 1st time diners and we just ordered as much as we could stomach, which was too much. Raw Oysters as expected, but drier that most oyster spots. Chargrilled ones were cheesy and grille well, as fore mentioned, drier than other spots I’ve tried but maybe it’s the season… Mac and cheese was made with gouda cheese so it was flavorful. The clam chowder was off the charts, and better than most. Clams were soft and melted in your mouth chewy. The fish in the fish tacos were broiled perfectly, but would have liked the slaw on top to be dressed with some kind of dressing in the slaw instead of just being a plain cabbage. I mean there was dressing on the side but again, comparatively to other fish tacos, the salad on top usually is more flavorful than just the raw veggie. Ceviche was great, perfectly seasoned and citrusy. Overall a great experience. Unknowingly, To boot they have specials that made it better cost wise, but we just wanted to try as much as we can… defiantly going back to try...

I’ve always wanted to try this spot. On Mother’s Day my husband brought us to Joe’s Oyster Bar & Grill. Loved the food. We ordered grilled crab fingers which were absolutely delicious. Buffalo Wings which had the perfect amount of heat to it and the meat was tender. Decent sized wings. Very good. New England Clam Chowder, creamy and amazing. For our entrees I had grilled cod & grilled shrimp. You may also order it fried. The cod was grilled and seasoned perfectly. It melts in your mouth. The shrimp also were perfectly cooked. My husband ordered a ribeye steak smothered with gravy, onions & mushrooms. With a side of fried okra. He loved it. The meat was tender and not overcooked. Yes we will be adding this to our list of favorite places to eat in Rosenberg. The service was fast and very friendly. We go out to eat 1-2 times a week and we will definitely be back at Joe’s. They do seafood Right!

Not fine dining. I sat at a table covered in a fine layer of dust from a dirty bar towel, the little fibers caught my eye in the setting sunlight. That's what made me look around. The floors had not been swept in a while, and food debris was everywhere. I purchased a steak, steamed broccoli, and a simple garden salad. The salad was dry but fresh, the steak was cooked to order and tasted delicious, but the broccoli tasted of fish. This is a seafood joint, so who knows if they use the same steamer for both vegetables and the fish..The staff was amazing, even pouring my water to my glass, and accomidated my request to try an oyster or two. They (staff named Daniel) and the great steak are the saving grace for my trip to this restaurant. If you do not mind eating at a bar, you will like this joint.
