The cashier was in too big of a hurry and ignored one of the main things I came in for so we just bought my pillbox whatnot and left and didn't go to eat. I'm in a wheelchair and my son was behind me to move me but she just looked over my head and asked him for the $2.00 balance I owed after the gift card and I was trying to ask her a question about the rewards and she said oh just go to the app. I said I already had the app. Then I said what about the other issue I asked about that is noted in the app about recent pick up order that was messed up and she just looked over my head and said next person in line ...and asked my son if he could move me out of the way because she has other customers. There were actually 3 people working behind the counter . So we didn't go eat because she made us loose our appetite. After we had loaded in my oxygen and wheelchair (my right leg was amputated a few weeks ago and I don't have a prosthetic yet. Anyway thank you for your time. I just thought you would like to know. The other issue was about a pickup oder we had recently. The loaded sweet potato was not loaded and it cost extra to get like that. My sweet potato had nothing on it and the rest of our food was upside down in the containers. But we flipped them and we're still able to eat the food. And I know I shouldn't complain about the sweet potato, but recently I had one and it was delicious and I talked about it so much till my son Said fine Momma I'm gonna get you that sweet potato and well. So I got a message from Cracker Barrel that said next time I come in they would replace it with the correct one at no charge but the cashier's attitude when I tried to tell her and she ignored me ..was not acceptable. I just wanted to ask if I needed to mentiton it to her since I was checking out my item (that she said aww I don't have a box for it and I told my son they usually get a brand new item that's still in the box and put the display back on the rack that I got it from) I have been collecting them for a longtime.. My son gives me a $25 gift card from Cracker Barrel on special occasions and I turned 61 the 27th October and since Friday is the only day I get to get out of my apartment because all of my wound care Appointments are on Friday I ask my son to please take me to cracker barrel on the way home and we'll it was not a nice visit, plus she sold me the display and just rolled it up in a paper bag. Those little pretties are not cheap and everyone that I have gotten over the years is precious to me and Cracker Barrel has always taken such pride in the way they present 🎁 your purchases to me, I guess I am just disappointed.. I not only got poor service but I got a display item with out it's precious box . I have all displayed in my hutch at home but I keep...
Read moreI am leaving three stars because in the past we have been to this location many times and we have had excellent service. We usually go and each of us gets a combo and they bring us free biscuits before our order comes out and even when we have made substitutions, they have done a great job of getting it right. However, today went differently. Today I ordered a different combo than I normally get and I didn't make any substitutions and my guy did the same.
Originally, only about half my food came out and my dining partner was also missing the biscuits and gravy from his combo. It seems like it should have been obvious since they handed me a large dinner plate that only had a small cinnamon roll and 3 strips of bacon on it and 2/3 of the plate was empty. However, they did bring those items out after we mentioned it. Though, when we asked about the biscuits that usually come out before the meal (my guy usually eats more than 2 with his combo and I usually get one) they told us that it isn't "free" if you order a bread item and since I had a cinnamon roll and he got 2 biscuits with his combo, we wouldn't be getting anymore biscuits unless we "wanted to pay extra for an order of biscuits".
Listen, I don't mind paying extra if they are going to have a new policy and it applies to everyone, but the waitress who brought us drinks and took our order (a different girl than what brought out our food) didn't say anything about their policy changing when I mentioned we just wanted the biscuits and no cornbread. My guy just asked for them to be brought with our meal. If they are no longer "free with purchase" then the first waitress should have said so. Rather than make an ordeal about it, I just said, "no thank you" but at that point we were put off by it, especially after they messed up our order to begin with. I even get it if they don't automatically come out with free biscuits unless they are requested if they feel like they would be wasted, but we made it a point to ask for them and they going to be losing our business over a couple of biscuits. I can't say that this location is going to be one we will continue to have on our regular brunch schedule after today. It also seems like they have less on their combos every other time we go and they don't seem to have the same policies for every customer. The fact that if you "pay" for a bread item means you don't get the same "free" items as everyone else just seems like an incentive to order less and does not seem like a good business model. I will have to keep that in mind if we ever decide to give them another chance that I need to avoid ordering...
Read moreMistakes were made. I'll start off by saying they weren't too busy. We arrived between 10:30-10:40 and were immediately seated with no wait.
We rarely saw our server. It took a while for every visit to our table (front initial getting to take drinks to giving us a bill). This dragged everything from getting refills to placing our order to getting our food to even getting the bill. In the end, our breakfast took about 90 minutes! I noticed 2 tables around us that both sat after us and left before us.
The first attempt of our food was incorrect. My wife ordered the Mama's French Toast for my oldest boy, Mama's French Toast for herself, Mama's pancakes for my youngest boy, and I decided not to get any food. When the food finally came out, we received 3 orders of the pancakes. In addition, they didn't give any syrup. When mentioned, the server argued, saying we never responded when she "read it back to us." I listed what we ordered to prove I knew that was a lie. After I told her I wasn't getting any food (only drinking the wildberry tea), she gave a slight pause before acknowledging, then walked away. After waiting and waiting for her to come back to the dining area without prevail, I had to go to the kitchen myself to ask for some syrup so my youngest boy could at least eat his breakfast. Both were sat with new parties.
Corrected food took a long time to come out. (My youngest, who is a very slow eater, was over halfway done with his meal) I'm assuming it was a manager who brought out the 2 French Toast meals based on his dress attire. As a side observation: the French toast was cut in half. It's never been precut before, so it the us off.
Never received a single acknowledgment for the incorrect food or the slow service; no credit on the bill, not even a simple apology.
All in all, it was a pretty bad experience. The only reason I'm giving the 2nd star is because the family enjoyed their food and the wildberry...
