Lupita is not only my favorite Panaderia, but it's also one of my favorite local MOM N POP Businesses. They require masks to enter the building. The parking is tight and awkward as it's a house turned into a MOM N POP business. They carry additional homemade and packaged Mexican snacks and treats as well. Once you enter, you grab your tray and tongs and select your treats as you do at most panaderias. The register is separated by clear plexiglass for health and safety.
Room to improve?... -list the prices -a clearance section if possible would be a bonus (but it's great if they simply sell out and cant have a clearance section) -add more space for more pan (some items do sell out frequently in my experience) -expand the selection of pan (again, some items do sell out frequently in my experience so an alternative would be fun and convenient) -consider rotating in different/special baked goods to keep the options fresh.
I do love this place and we've never gotten anything from here that we weren't absolitely...
Read moreYesterday I was visiting my grandparents and they had some sweet bread on the counter. Don't know the name of the one piece I tried but it's a flat rectangle shape and has some type of sweet cheese, reminded me of a Danish. Well it was so darn good. I asked my grandpa where they bought it from because I wanted more. So we drove to this bakery. Walked in and grabbed a tray and started to load it up. There was two of those rectangle shaped sweet bread left and I grabbed them so quick 😁. I also tried their calabaza and camote empanadas, marranitos, conchas, and a few other options they had available. I had about 16 total pieces and ever one of them so so delicious. Some of the best sweet bread (pan dulce) I've had, so soft and flavorful. The empanadas had plenty of filling in them too. Highly recommend this palace so give them a try. I will definitely be visiting this bakery when I'm in the Richmond Rosenberg area to try other options I didn't get on my first visit. Thanks for a wonderful...
Read moreThis is a great little Mexican bakery. I've been coming here for years and always leave with way to much in my bags, but a huge smile on my face. They have a large selection to choose from and the price is very reasonable. It's a self service venue, you take up a large metal platter and tongs, walking around to the various cabinets and pick the items you want. Items vary from different bread concoctions, to several cookies, to even items with fruit fillings. They also sometimes have colder items in a cool display you can ask for. Tres Leche is usually available if not all already sold, however you can call ahead and order a whole one for yourself. Once your done, take your selection to the counter where they will bag it up and either you go get more (which I usually do) and/or pay...
