Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Roseville

This place wants to be great but somehow always falls short. I've come here 3 or 4 times over the past couple years and each time I'm left a bit disappointed. The food pictures, descriptions and selection look amazing and have made me give them multiple chances to make me like them. Sadly, that's where the disappointment begins. I've been there when it's busy and when it was almost empty, each time they were slow and seemed very disorganized. On one occasion they gave my food to another customer who put a fork in it and sat down, then brought it back; and they actually tried to give it to me. When they couldn't convince me that it was untouched, they made me a new meal. This last time I was here, I ordered a salad with shrimp and when I started to eat it, the shrimp was only half cooked at best. I brought the shrimp back, they took all the shrimp out of the salad and cooked them longer and then gave it back. I promise I'm not a picky person, but to have this many bad experiences, I think I've given this place a fair chance. The other times I visited, the food was okay, but a little slow and just didn't live up to the expectations set by the advertising. I wish them well and hope...

If it was the first time, I don’t think I would be writing this review. We normally like this place but lately the food quality has gone way down. They don’t fill the burritos up, very poor serving sizes, and the food taste has gone way done. When you ask for any extras, they skimp on everything but charge you as much as they can. The tipping point was, except for the cashier, most of the employees are very unfriendly and rude and the manager, I am assuming because of the way she barked orders and talked to me and other customers, was even worst. Someone needs to tell her the people under her take her lead. They don’t seem to even want to be there and show it with the way they interact and treat you. We will be looking for other options for our Mexican food fix in Roseville. It’s sad, I don’t like writing bad reviews but being a business owner myself, I would hate to know this is how my business...

OK so I've been going Costa Vida for 6 months now and I've always loved and refered tons of people to here. however I've always thought the service sucked. now today I have to say I will never eat there again. went in to get food for me and my sister. another bland service experience, but this time when i get home I find a fly in my food.... OK no big deal I call and take it back in. when I get there i talk to the girl at the register and she goes and gets the manager. the manager literally didn't say a word to us. she just walked out and kept her head down and refunded us our money and walked away... we never received an apology or any type of acknowldgement of the fact that there's bugs in there food.... bullshit. honestly the food here is delicious, but I'm so infuriated by how shitty the service is, and how unapologetic there "manager" was I will never eat here again....
