Del Taco — Restaurant in Roseville

I love del taco but this visit wasn't great (must be just this location). I was going to stop at a restaurant that I had gift card for but when I saw del taco I just had to have it! I walked in and there were some homeless looking people outside (which I understand given the area), but there were some hanging out inside as well. I waited in line to order (there was only 1 person in front of me and it didn't seem super busy) and I feel like the wait was much longer than it should have been. Then the lady asked for my order, so I told her a fiesta pack with extra red sauce and a large fry. All she got out of it was fiesta pack, then proceeded to ask what kind of sauce... But she was also running the drive through, so I understand. Then she asked for a name for the order, which I said "Mike" about 4 or 5 times before she got it. I was starting to think I suddenly picked up a speech impediment with my own name. She didn't seem very pleasant or happy either, but I get it. The funny thing was I asked where the bathrooms were and she said outside on the side of the building, so I go outside and they're locked and you have to get the key from an employee... Logically if I asked if there was a bathroom she should have offered me the key right then and there! Also when I was outside I heard the same person tell somebody via the drive thru intercom that the drive thru was closed (there were people outside painting) but this was after they already pulled up to order! At least put some cones out or a sign or something!

As far as the food went, the burritos were good and just as expected, but the tacos were trash. Every other bite was fat or gristle... Again I know it's fast food but I've never had a bad tacos from del taco. I usually eat an entire fiesta pack over the course of a day... This time I offered my roommate the rest of the fiesta pack and I threw most of what was left after that out if that tells...

Regarding Follow-up WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE THE STRAWBERRY LEMONADE DRINK! After my post within 1 hour I became ill vomiting. I really feel the Strawberry Lemonade was unusually sour and I complained to the cashier. I noticed the strawberries were tasteless as well. I tried to reply to the message from Del Taco link included in your reply and the link message read "This site can't be reached". UPSET CUSTOMER!

I ordered and sat at a booth with my husband. The floors were very dirty, tables not clean with smeared food. I ordered two crunhchtada (tostadas) it had a thin smear of refried beans only in the center, cheese was off the side, not on the tostada with dried strips of lettuce also not on the tostada, but inside the container. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which was tasteless, no sweetness even with the bland strawberries (don't order this tasteless drink). Both my tostadas looked like it was tossed in the box. I could not drink my strawberry lemonade and spoke to the guy who took my order and requested a soda instead. The facility was visibly dirty and so were the bathrooms behind the building. Food was not appealing or tasty to want to return. It seems the employees don't care how they make the food or maintain cleanliness. Why isn't the manager addressing these issues??? Maybe he doesn't care either. I will not return to...

I'm trying to be delicate in this review. This morning my drive-thru order was given little to no concern to the quality of or the accuracy of my order. As someone who ALWAYS orders his food the exact same way... for 35+ years... my order never varies.

This morning: ME: "One Del Cheeseburger, Cheese and lettuce only, no sauce. Also, one Steak toasted Wrap, no sauce.

DT: Sauce on the burger? ME: Sauce on nothing... Cheese and lettuce only. DT: Ok.. Del Cheeseburger, no onions. ME: CHEESE AND LETTUCE ONLY!! No sauce, no onions!

Ok, drive forward.... and as we were pulling away I could hear her telling the cook... "Bacon Breakfast Wrap" SERIOUSLY??

From the order at the speaker... to the confirmation at the window ... they never once got it right. None of them. At the window.....RE-confirming the details (Del Cheeseburger, lettuce only) again.... they STILL GOT IT WRONG... No Lettuce on it!!!

WHY?? Nothing in this world could be easier, and yet... not a single care was given.

I had to get out of my car (I am disabled and why I chose a drive-thru in the first place) and walk with my incorrect burger.
