I absolutely love this place!!! I cannot recommend it enough! It is a must-try for visitors of Roseville. I'm blessed enough to live right across the street! I have resorted to walking here since I lost my car lol. Super convenient location, almost right off the freeway. The women here cook their food with love. It is literally always bangin, actually its always smackalackin, dare I say!!!! They have never brought out bad food to me, ever. I come here as religiously as I can afford it, my favorite seat is in the corner. Honestly, I wake up craving the food here. I go to sleep thinking about it, excited for the moment of hunger after I wake up and get the opportunity to eat my leftovers. More plusses: the food keeps and reheats well. Anyways, I would eat this 7 days a week if I could. I've been to another Ethiopian spot and this one is by far my favorite, literally. Not to mention how wonderful these ladies are. They are so kind and accomodating!!! Never rude, never entitled, and always definitely dedicated to providing you quality service. Everything is made FRESH to order, which takes time obviously, but it is so worth the wait and every bite!!!! They make everything from scratch, by hand. Nara vibes. I always get the same thing. My go to order starts out with a fresh mango drink, then veggie sambusas, and finally the main course: the vegan combo plate with a side of beef tibs. I like to put a small amount of every single vegetable along with some of the meat on a piece of injera and get a taste of everything on the same bite. Dip it a lil in the tib sauce. CHEF'S KISS. ARIANA GRANDE'S ITALIAN HAND. EVERY TIME. I am addicted. Everytime I come in, the ladies already know my order. They know where I sit and bring my order out to me after a quick "same thing?" when I walk through the door. I feel so known and loved. This review was a long time coming. I'm a spacehead so I forgot but I just finished eating some leftovers and remembered that I should write this review. I love this place and I love their food. May the good Lord and Jesus Christ bless this place and these...
Read moreGursha Ethiopian Cuisine in Roseville, CA, is an absolute gem, and I can't help but gush about my incredible experience there. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance whisked me away to the lively streets of Ethiopia. The soft Ethiopian music added an authentic touch, creating a delightful atmosphere that set the stage for a memorable dining experience.
A significant part of this fantastic experience was thanks to Sam, the outstanding manager. His attention to detail and dedication to creating a welcoming environment truly stood out. Sam's commitment to excellence is palpable, and it's evident that he takes great pride in ensuring every guest has an exceptional time.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by the wonderful Amy, an exceptional waitress who went above and beyond to make my dining experience special. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor added to the overall positive vibe of the restaurant.
I opted for the vegan combo, and let me tell you, it was a feast for the senses! The injera bread, made from fermented teff flour, not only had a unique taste but also added a healthy touch to the meal. I couldn't help but think it might be a fantastic prebiotic with its connection to fermented teff flour.
The vegan combo featured five dishes, each more delicious than the last. I have to give a special shoutout to the Ata kilt and the red lentils – they were my absolute favorites. The balance of flavors, the perfect level of spice – it was a party in my mouth! The overall experience was so tasty; I couldn't help but marvel at the culinary expertise behind each dish.
And here's the best part – the prices are incredibly reasonable. Gursha Ethiopian Cuisine is undoubtedly a welcome addition to the Roseville food scene, offering not just a meal but an unforgettable journey into the heart of Ethiopian flavors. If you're looking for a culinary adventure that won't break the bank, look no further than Gursha – it's a true...
Read moreMy mother in law spent a lot of time in Africa as a child and loves Ethiopian food, so we took her here when she was in town for her birthday. She LOVED it! There were a LOT of great options for everyone there, including vegan/vegetarian options for the in-laws, "help I was raised in the Midwest and spices are scary but I'm learning" for me, and delicious gluten-free injera for my celiac husband. We had two platters, one with various foods with injera on the bottom and one without, some rice, and mango juice and tea for our drinks.
I've only had Ethiopian food a few times, but this was BY FAR the best I've had! The spices were just right, and even the mildest food was not bland. I had a taste of some of the more spicy foods, and they definitely had a good kick to them! We shared the meal together and it was a great experience.
The best part was the staff, specifically our waitress! She was very nice and not only made sure we were enjoying our meal, but also made time to chat with us and sing Happy Birthday for my Mother in law in Amharic! Needless to say, we ALL enjoyed our visit to Gursha Ethiopian Cuisine, and we will be back again! It's definitely worth the visit, so go out and support a great local restaurant and maybe try...
