Hoss's Steak & Sea House — Restaurant in Rostraver Township

First Hoss's really isn't much of a sea house as maybe when first originated, fish , salmon and crab cakes is all they have now and the scallops they did have in the past were 2" pucks that we would always buy until they changed to 1/2" nibbles.

Secondly they used to pride themselves on purchases of the HHH County Fair purchases, well let me say this thier steaks are second grade and full of fat and gristle. I used to love going here for a good steak but they now walking the path of the old Ponderosa Steak House Franchise. Cutting corners on food quality never works.

Lastly and the reason for 4 stars and not 3. Obviously the salad bar... Although I've had frozen lettuce and fixings in the past on my last visit everything on the salad bar was fresh and inviting, soups were hot but what they did to the fresh breads is a shame, no more variety , what was a four foot area of wholesome bread is now a 1 foot bread box.

Service has always been great at this location but make sure to tell the waiting staff to hold off on putting in your order or you'll sit down to enjoy your salad and have your entrée come out after several bites.

NO Customer Satisfaction!! Highly Disappointed!! I visited Hoss's with several guests frequently until now!! Owner/Management does NOT implement customer satisfaction/service!!

The nachos area typically has nachos, cheese sauce, chili sauce, sour cream, salsa, etc. The chili sauce bin is typically located in tge rear bin behind the warm cheese sauce. I thought the chili sauce was refried beans as the texture appeared different?? The sauce bin had sweet potatoes in them and I put it on salad?!?! Sweet Potatoes at nacho bar?!?!

Ruined our nacho salad meals bigtime!!

Highly disappointed that the manager/customer service has no resolve; but....o well 🫤 Sorry bout your luck 🙄 Management said the chili sauce was moved!!

Apparently customer satisfaction is not their priority!!!!

This is my first experience dealing with the Belle Vernon management for satisfaction during 20+ years of salad buffet meals!

Definitely NOT a customer friendly accomodating restaurant!!...

One star because it would not let me post otherwise. Salad bar was empty, instead of refilling containers they just put empty ones back on the salad bar same with the soup it was like they were getting ready to close and it was just little after 6 in the evening. Our order took forever and we got three different stories on why we didn't get it first it was coming second she didn't know what happened there must have been a big order the party behind its which we was there before that party then the third story was it must have got lost in the kitchen oh no wait a minute it was giving away to somebody else , then it got lost in the kitchen needless to say I will not stop at this Hoss' again. The manager tried to make it better but by then I really did not care,now I have to go home and make something to eat because I wouldn't eat it because I don't like eating something I didn't pay for it even though it was not my fault. And the food was not hot,so where was...
