I could’ve died here a few weeks ago, but I didn’t. A few weeks ago, I came to taco takeout like I do about once a week to eat. I came with my husband and I clearly ordered a fish taco and a fried chicken taco. The chicken taco was fantastic as always. I finished it, then I started to eat the fish taco. While it was in my mouth, I noticed the texture of, the food wasn’t right and I immediately open the taco looked at it and saw that they had given me shrimp instead. I’ve eaten here almost once a week for many months and this had never happened before. I Immediately ran outside, spit out the food and washed out my mouth. Then I took two Benadryl on the spot. I came back a few times later, hoping to talk to the owner, about my experience, but he was never there. I asked when the owner was there, but we never connected. Fast forward a few weeks and I sent the contractors who were working on my house to eat there because the food is really good. Then I came in to get food myself. The gal who took my original order was actually there and remembered me and I mentioned that I almost died there and I’m glad they have a new sign about allergies. (it wouldn’t have helped in my situation, as they gave me the wrong order, but it’s nice that they now acknowledge allergies). I let her know that I also made a card multilingual card to let people who are not English speakers know of my allergies in their language. I thought the conversation was going great, then she proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that I was given shrimp because I didn’t read the screen. She explained this to me multiple ways, putting the blame on me. I let her know that really I should’ve gotten the fish taco that I had ordered not the shrimp taco anyway. At the end, I just said you know what I’m going to make a review so people will know what happened. after I said that, she apologized. it was her first time apologizing for almost killing me. The worst part about this is that my life means so little to her, that she didn’t even offer an apology until I walked away and said OK I’ll just write a review. the other part that’s really hard, that I love to eat here.. even more so than Chick Fil A. I’m so surprised of her behavior, because the owner is so kind and I was so kind to her. I wish they had just taken my number originally and let me talk to owner because I think there would’ve been a better result than this. It was never my intention to write this review, which is why I wanted to talk to the owners to let them know of my experience. I’m so grateful for my life. Be cautious.

Update: It's not unusual to see restaurants change. Either because of costs, sales volume, or crappy management, owners make decisions that will determine their future success. This place has taken on a downward trend. The portions are smaller, the quality is slipping and I'm not liking it as much. After today's experience, the value is not there. The salsa that comes with chups and salsa is barely a notch above tomato sauce. The nachos were sparsely sprinkled with chicken and most of the cheese wasn't even melted. As for the fajitas, meh, real average. Now, the above are not items I would normally order, but I wanted to sample more of the menu. Hit the brakes. The big takeaway is the food quality is not their norm. This is not good. My first review: Super tasty and well portioned. I spotted this little place driving by and knew it was my next place to try. The tacos 🌮 are fresh and the Taco Tuesday deals are outstanding. I tried thr Pollo, carnitas and chorizo. Without a doubt, imho, the Pollo was the tastiest, followed by the carnitas. Definitely a place to revisit.

I ordered a chicken burrito ($10.50) with a side of chips and salsa ($4.99). Initially I was upset that I had to pay five bucks for chips and salsa but when the waitress brought the chips out my feelings of paying too much subsided. They were hot, crispy, and super thin. The salsa tasted fresh with vibrant flavors. The chicken burrito was delicious. I liked the seasoning on the chicken. It was also tender and juicy. There was plenty of chicken in the burrito. My only complaint is that I would have liked more rice in the burrito. The three bottles of salsa that accompanied the burrito were all good. The red one was hot but not as hot as the Hot salsa found at most Mexican restaurants. It had some mango or pineapple flavor in it. It was really good. Disclaimer: I had just finished a four hour mountain bike ride and was craving carbs.

Have ordered online previously and loved the food! However after my interaction today, i don’t believe I will be coming back. Went in to order today and immediately the atmosphere of an empty restaurant and the demeanor of a cashier who wished to be anywhere but there killed my enthusiasm walking in. While ordering I asked for a minor modification to a quesadilla and was met with resistance and being told there was an up charge for an option I have selected through food carriers. Nonetheless after paying and waiting for my food to which I was told would take 15 minutes by the disgruntled cashier they then accuse me of TAKING PICTURES OF THEM!!!

Completely shocked at what is occurring I began to explain that nobody had taken any photos of them and gestured to show my phone to them. After this they began to speak to themselves in Spanish and the conversation escalated because I responded back to them. Firstly, for there to be nobody in the restaurant and then to give the only customer in the establishment an attitude for a FOOD MODIFICATION. But to then accuse them of taking photos of your staff with no merit or reasoning is more than enough to let me know that there is something not right here in the operations. Coming from someone who has worked in the service/ hospitality field for over 8+ years the service here is some of the worst I have...
