I absolutely love Kale me Crazy! To start I send my pregnant wife into the store to grab a Green Dream because I have had a severe cold and KMC has the absolute best smoothies on this planet. The $20 I gave her was torn slightly but perfectly in tact, ONE PIECE with no pieces missing. My wife then comes back to tell me she doesn’t have change.. I say ok that’s fine just grab two smoothies and round up and tip the “young” lady. My wife then comes back out with a new story. Now the “young” lady at the cash register says her manager won’t accept a torn bill. I then tell my pregnant wife I will handle it. I go in and pay with an intact $20 where I wait for her to put in the cash drawer which when she reluctantly opens she has PLENTY OF CHANGE, (Quarters, Fives, Tens, but only a single dollar bill) which I would still consider having change. I then asked to speak with the manager who originally denied the acceptance of my $20 from my wife but I was then told the manager is not here. I then asked for a refund of my juice and was given change! Me and my wife are bartenders currently and have been in the industry our whole lives so I understand certain things but to flat out lie and give such a bad attitude over something so minute was just a poor example of training from the management team at this particular location. I am well versed and understand the policies behind money, no business has to accept a damaged bill, my problem is trying to lie to our faces about not having change and your manager isn’t here to avoid just being transparent. I included my receipt and a picture of the bill attempted to be used. I would hope that this particular incident could be reviewed and this could be a learning opportunity for everyone to thrive forward in this great industry of customer service! Had I had the chance talk with a store manager confusion can have been cleared and I wouldn’t have felt a need to make a review. I really don’t believe in negative reviews especially when I love the business! I hope to still be reached out to by someone on your team KMC. Regardless no hard feelings and I will still continue indulging in your...
Read moreMost unfortunately the reason that I’m choosing to not continue patronizing Kale me Crazy on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell is not because of the prices, you get what you pay for, and it’s not because of the lack of organization and the endless waiting even when you have called in an order. I’m not returning because of the poor, unacceptable ATTITUDE of some of the employees there. I’ve never gotten a hello, a smile or a thank you from Kayla. Ever. There is another young lady there that is just as guilty of this behavior and I’m also tired of the lack of English that the kitchen workers speak. They stay in the shadows, come nervously to the front and quickly retreat. I’ve waited in the front for staff to stop playing with their phones. I know this generation is different, and as I get closer to 65 years old in a few months here, I’m sure I’m set in my ways, but times haven’t changed that much that this is appropriate. The owner really needs to clean up the attitude and moral and train a lot better. I’m writing this review actually on behalf of at least 10 people that feel the very same way that work out at Planet Fitness with me. Just a shame. Maybe this review will help management figure out how to address...
Read moreA bit upscale and ritzy, but that’s expected for Alpharetta/Roswell area. I got their regular Açaí bowl. They gave me a free sample of their farro salad (as seen in the picture). The açaí was not the best I’ve had, but it was decent. I really did not appreciate the interior design of this location. On the wall near the restroom, there is a collage of picture frames. Most of them are word art that reference media/culture and try to incorporate ‘kale’ into it. It feels like they’re trying too hard to be relevant. Here are a few examples of the quotes: “Keep calm and eat kale” “REAL MEN eat organic” “got kale?” “Meet kale, your new friend with benefits” “50 shades of kale” Look, I’m not trying to be a Karen here, but those last two are a bit suggestive for a health food restaurant. I could understand if it was a store like hot topic or forever 21 catering to teens, but this is a smoothie/salad place. Besides that, the environment was nice. They were playing Hozier and John Mayer and other acoustic coffeehouse sounding music. The tables and chairs had a minimalistic and modern feel. If you’re a white, millennial, health-nut young mom, this place is catered to you. If you’re not, expect to have a pretty...
