Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Round Rock

Well, it’s one of those evenings where you just crave a couple of tacos and call tonight so I head to the drive-through. It is a brand new Valero gas station attached to this location which is pretty dead. Their car wash is boarded up so nothing great going on there. I get to the drive up speaker in order two tacos and a medium ice water. The Cashier says five dollars and some change.

I repeat back are you sure that’s the total and he’s like yes it is. I’m like how can that be? The tacos are two $1.79. He goes to tell me the water is $3.50?

I’m like what then he goes. He has a courtesy copy he can give me for free after going back-and-forth. I’m like OK I guess the court courtesy couple will do. .

As I get to the drive-through window, I’ll ask him so when is this been going on? He said he gets in trouble if he gives away free waters it’s mostly about the cup and not the water or the ice. I go tell him that McDonald’s doesn’t do this or Burger King or Wendy’s or anybody else really I can think of this is the first he goes yeah it’s just the Jack in the Box policies he has to follow and he’s sorry about it. So kudos to him. I don’t blame him for nothing. This is all corporate. He didn’t proceeded to give me a small cup of ice waters as here you go. It’s no big deal. I’m like OK. I would probably put this on TikTok, but it’s shut down. We have a few laughs and I get my tacos and head out of there so Jack-in-the-Box, charging for water full price like a soft drink who would get water and not a Coke or a Sprite or Diet Coke when I can just get that instead of water for the same price Get outta here...

I needed to get something fast for my wife for her lunch, she works near by that location, the girl at the window kept telling to hold on at the drive through, waited 5 minutes, no traffic whatsoever but I see one truck and trailer ahead of me taking really long so I go inside to order and the Hispanic girl tells me to wait before I say anything, I observed this girl flirting for a few minutes with the guy in the truck and trailer, other employee told girl at the window to pick it up and keep it moving, other employee asked me for my order but told me I had to wait for the other girl to finish flirting with dude in the truck and trailer so I just left, DO NOT GO HERE AT 3:14 P.M. very unprofessional and senseless employees always, I usually don't go to that location but today I was reminded as to why. This location has the same problems for over 6 years( look at the majority of reviews of this location) and nobody does anything about it other than answer reviews with useless apologetic responses in an attempt to make it appear as though resolve...

I haven't had a bacon ultimate cheese burger in probably 5 years. I went to this Jack N The Box and all I wanted was that. It took nearly 10 minutes for the guy to acknowledge the people at the counter after about 5 minutes of nobody even showing their face. The other people and I waiting in line didn't even know if any employees were in the restaurant. Eventually, I ordered and got my food. It was the driest burger I have had I a very long time. I only enjoyed it because I was imagining the burger I had about 5 years previously. I was having to take a drink or 2 after every bite just to wash it down. And no, I wasn't having COTTON MOUTH like the average AuSTONian. I was completely sober since I drive CDL vehicles for living. I hope management and or upper management see this and make sure the customer doesn't have to wait 5 to 10 minutes before having someone come out and have to wait another 5 to 10 minutes to have their order taken just to get food that was cooked long before they came inside the restaurant.
