Best friendliest customer service with to go options and a family done in experience.
I on the other hand had just got back from a long trip, hungering for pho, found this place with over 1000 reviews which says a lot!
So I was not up to par to take pictures of this location but it is a very small hole-in-the-wall location with phenomenal customer service despite being packed to the wall with people at every table.
I was seated and served within a reasonable time.
They even mention for Sunday night they were extremely busy with the go orders and even more calls coming in.
Went with the number 16. My only complaint would be had I known as serving size I probably would have upgraded for more meat as the meat portion was very small.
The broth on the other hand was magnificent.
Noodles were ok, fixings on the side ok, and they accommodated my request for extra limes.
Nice touch to environment was playing a spider man movie on a flat screen TV.
Tables were all kept clean in their small table to table environment and yet I never felt squashed in with people.
Restrooms for men and for women, and the men's restroom was clean and well maintained.
All in all a relatively nice experience, once again loved the pho.
Just next time gonna request and pay extra for more meat :)
The small gal with red hair and glasses took care of my order at the exit no problem. All in all a good time for a $12 dinner which is hard to find these days. :)
Also pray for peace and blessings for their families. Hard working lot here which is getting harder to find these days.
Note: Also shared small parking here next o chuckey cheese and a hotel so keep in mind how to gps to get to this location the back way from I35 to get to...
Read moreIt's been many, many years since I've visited Pho Hoang. Previously I didn't care for them being an all cash place and that every condiment bottle on the table was sticky when touched. I avoided them for those 2 reasons alone. Many years ago they were the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area. As that changed I migrated to other options.
I just visited again today. While the condiment bottles are no longer sticky and they now accept cards it still won't be on my top 3 places. In the top 10 in the area, yeah but there will always (in my own personal opinion) be a better choice elsewhere.
The place had a robust amount of call in orders waiting on the table to be picked up so I know it's popular and loved by the general population in the area. This is just my own personal experience and opinion I am sharing.
The food was good, great even - standard Vietname offerings.
The service was in the beginning off to a great start and attentive until my meal was delivered. Then it was a tad on the ignoring side. While I know it's not your typical service heavy place I still expected my drink to be refilled and to be offered...
Read moreThe waitress had a poor attitude and even worse service. I had just been sat down and the waitress was annoyed that I wasn’t immediately ready to order, she didn’t even give me a chance to open or take a peek at the menu. Even after placing my order she seemed upset that I wasn’t ordering more food, she ask if I was ordering anything else after placing my order and I politely replied that would complete my order. She then proceeds to rudely mumbled “Well, I guess not” and walked away. I regret not leaving after that.
I ordered a large Pho and an appetizer. She forgot my appetizer that never came, I didn’t bother bringing it up because she was in a bad mood, and the ‘large’ Pho was a total ripped off. Avoid ordering the large portion, is just more broth, without them actually adding more noodles or meat. She never came back to check if I wanted a refill on my drink, which was the least inconvenient part of the whole situation.
I wish I could take my visit back from this establishment. This place has the worst vibe by far of any Vietnamese restaurant I been to. Definitely avoiding this...
