When we first arrived, it was sort of awkward. (And I don’t like to play the race cards but I’m going to be honest on how me and my family felt). But we decided to stay anyway because we looked this place up and the menu looked very accommodating for all of our food wants and we were VERY HUNGRY! We had just arrived from a 7 hr road trip to Austin. So we looked tired and had sweat pants and t shirts on (even though there was no dress code). We ordered appetizers and they were ok not the best but ok. After ordering appetizers, a guy walked in with a dog, NOT A SERVICE ANIMAL a dog. But I was told by someone one that that’s normal for a lot of restaurants here in Austin. So we were not worried about the dog anymore. But when our waitress bought out our entrees the DOG JUMPED ON THE TABLE WHERE OUR FOOD WAS AND LITERALLY HAD HIS NOSE RIGHT ON MY BURGER! I did not mind the dog until this happened! So I asked for a new burger and the waitress caught somewhat of an attitude and asked if everyone wanted their food recooked. She seemed upset that we were upset because a dog jump on the table on our food. Which is odd to me. So I explained what happen to the manager and he said ok then he went on to ask the owner of the dog what happened, and told him, “ok I thought so, I got you.” He didn’t believe what I said and I’m guessing he thought we didn’t want to pay for our food? But regardless I don’t even let my family dog jump on my food let alone by my food. The manager showed no remorse and didn’t believe me so I became ticked off. So I didn’t want any of the food and he charged my cousin for my meal. And I went ask him respectfully why did he charge us (I didn’t even eat any of it but one of five wings) and I had two tacos as well that was untouched. He replied, “ The food was made once it was made he told me and that once it’s out of the kitchen it’s nothing he can do but charge me.” With a smirk on his face. Ask if he was taking me for a joke. My family did not even enjoy their food nor the service but they still paid for their food. So money was never the issue it’s about what’s right and what’s wrong! JUST KNOW, NEVER AGAIN! GOD SITS HIGH AND LOOKS...
Read moreI went to this restaurant this past week. I had been here once before and had a poor experience with their staff. However, I was willing to give it another try. After this 2nd (and failed) attempt of having a nice lunch here, I will not be back.
When arriving, I and my family sat down. And was immediately asked what we would like to drink and eat. When we asked for water and a few minutes to decide, the waitress rudely said sure and walked away. Throughout our visit this behavior continued.
Shortly after, there was a waitress/hostess who was cleaning a table. The manager, Mike, went to the table, confronted her for the way she was cleaning the table and then took the rag from her and shamed her on the dining floor where I and other customers witnessed it. The poor waitress looked like she wanted to just quit and go home from the way he treated her.
After the table was wiped down, the table was still a little wet. The hostess tried to sit a family down at the same table. (Which, I agree was not the best idea - but I believe she was new and still learning). Mike then, in front of the family snatched the menus from her hand, reprimanded her and moved the family to another table. When they sat down he spoke down on her to them.
Several other times during my visit he walked and talked with hostility to his other employees.
I called and asked for Mike to let him know what I witnessed and requested contact information for his manager. He rudely said "I dont have it", "if you are so concerned you can take your time to find it on the website". I asked him if he was refusing to provide this information. He said yes and then hung up on me.
I am not one to usually review unless I am extremely happy or unhappy. If you are looking for a good place to eat please go elsewhere. Their staff, the manager, and the food are not great. And is...
Read moreOk ladies DO NOT go eat at hurricane bar and grill. Tonight was our first and last time. I asked if the grilled shrimp Quesadillas were spicy beuase they said bold flavor....waitress (which was amazing) asked the manager...he said they were not spicy. Ok so i order them without tomatoes, sour cream and asked for regular ranch instead of the spicy advertied ranch. They arrived and were very spicy!!!! I looked and it had a sauce on it (not listed on the menu). I asked if they could do ot non-spicy without the sauce. Waitress asked...she was told no....so i asked if i could talk to the manager. He came over already with a rude attitude and said they it was not spicy and didnt have sauce (see pic).... he said that was cheese.... i asked agaij if they could remake them without that and was told no because it would change the recipe!!!! WHAT??? So i said ok can i exchange this for chicken quesadillas or somthing more blan? Again he said no. I explained that I have been a waitress in the past and any time a customer was unhappy even if it was something they ordered and just didn't like the taste that we would always exchange it and make it right because the customes satisfaction is what is important. He was very rude and said while we are not a corporate restaurant. I asked who is his manager and he said he didn't have one I said OK who is the owner he said Mike. I asked if I have my information so I can contact him and I was told nobody he will be here tomorrow and you are glad to contact him and then he walked away. I have NEVER In my life felt so disrespected, and unwanted as a customer. This place was horrible just because of the manager and I'm not being...
