If I could put 0 stars I would.
I was in the drive thru line for god knows how long. The lone was almost at the point they where it was about to extend out of the parking lot into the street. I haven't had Popeye's in years, so I didn't know they did specials on Tuesday. So, my fault.
Got to the window, paid for my order, they asked me twice on what extra condiments I wanted, then gave me my order. I realized something might have been wrong, so I parked to check the order. Sure enough, I was one sandwich short. So now I had to go inside.
The inside line was all the way to the other side of the restaurant. I stood there, food in hand getting cold, drinks getting watered down; but I tried to be understanding. I saw they were swamped and there were other people in line who just wanted to get their food and go home. I just wanted to resolve this peacefully and go have dinner with my father.
A few minutes later, a person behind me saw me with my bag in hand and asked me if I'd gotten the wrong order; this attracted the attention of a couple other customers, and they, in unison, all told me to get my butt to the front of the line and speak up, forget being nice and get my order, because it was ridiculous that I had been waiting TWICE. I was relieved they were so understanding.
I made it to the counter, and the girl at the register gave me a look that said "Oh, here we go..." and told me she'd help me in a moment. I waited another few minutes, even asked another person for help and I was ignored, and then finally had enough and spoke up. The girl at the register gave me the most sour mean-mugging look; I only wish I had gotten her name. I explained that my order was wrong in as calm a manner as possible, and she proceeded to give an eye roll, go to the back, then came back with a sandwich and handed it to me. After that, I left.
The staff there was incredibly rude, and every single one of them looked incredibly young and acted like they'd never learned manners. My only regret, apart from not speaking up sooner, was not getting the name of the girl who pretty much treated me like I was a nuisance and had a b**y attitude.
I think it's safe to say I'm avoiding this place. I personally prefer Golden Chick, but dad...
Read moreThe first 2 times I went here the experience was great. The employees were very polite and got my order completely right. This last visit was not very pleasant. I paid for extra gravy and when I got to the pick up window I asked the employee if they had given me my extra gravy. She asked and I hear another employee say no. So she goes to get it. Good thing she did because I had no gravy in there period with my chicken strips. Well when I pulled away something told me to check my entire order. Well glad I did because my catfish dinner bid wasn't in there. So I pulled around and went back inside. When one of the employees walked up to the counter I told him what was missing. He said nothing and turned away and walked to the back. I hear another employee about 5 to 7 mins later say well I put the fish on right when she ordered it. Ok well where is it then I'm thinking!! About 12 mins later the same employee walks back up with my order and hands it to me. Says absolutely nothing. I say can I get some tartar sauce. He asks how many. I say 2 please. He grabs them and hands them to me and walks off. There was no I'm sorry for the inconvenience, sorry we forgot part of your order, hope you have a nice rest of your evening, nothing. Don't know if this was a new round of employees working on a night they all had other plans or what but they definitely were not the normal ones I have had experiences with in the past. Sad thing is I get to my car and notice they never gave me my drink either. But I was not about to go back in considering my other food was already getting cold kinda like the employees that were working that night. Hopefully the next time I go back the out going, fun, Energetic employees...
Read moreEmployees constantly provide undercooked chicken (with blood dripping out the thighs, overtly disregarding US Public Health Service Food and Drug Association standards), overcooked chicken (hence the “dry chicken” reviews above me), stale fries 95% of the time, cold mashed potatoes, no receipts, forgetting apple pies on multiple occasions, and unprofessional communication to company standards. The male employee who was working the cashier at 10:45AM on 10/11/2020 portrays a direct reflection via all of the above predicaments. Management and corporate level leadership needs to step up this exact location’s standards, and initiate a revamp for onboarding new employees, especially the candidate mentioned above with an exact time stamp. The encompassing vision here is understanding that recurring inadequacy of FDA compliancies and unsatisfactory employee conduct may in fact be mirrored from restaurant to restaurant. Moving forward, multiply, that exact understanding, but with 3,102 restaurant locations across 40 states and 30 countries. As a company who has spent over $100 million US on advertising via print, digital, and national TV in the last year, please advise allocating “marketing revenue” towards enhancing restaurant operations, as Popeyes’ slogan “Love that chicken” from 1983 (even though founded in 1972) may in turn translate to “Loathe that chicken” from the public; who in turn is directly responsible for the annual $3.7 billion in...
