Edit: keeping my original statement so you can see how a bad experience went great!
Bobby from Tso called me recently letting me know about a bunch of organizational changes and how they want to serve great food locally. I'm no longer in the area but they still offered me a credit. The fact that a restaurant is able to take ownership and accountability for an issue like mine (especially how cruddy it was!) was really important to me so I'm willing to make my review 5-stars especially because I love their shrimp! Bobby and Tso -- keep thriving to be a better establishment! you guys rock!
-Original- I LOVE tso normally but am unbelievably miffed at the experience I had with the Round Rock store last night and today. An unanswered chat I placed:”yesterday evening I tried placing a delivery order at 8:17pm from your round rock location: it took almost two hours to receive a response from the driver at 9:37saying he was lost because a previous order had misguided him. I had not been communicated before that. since I had plans to go out at 9:30 so I told the driver not worry about it and that accidents happen and I was just going to cancel my order. I had left my house to go to my plans. When I called the round rock location to cancel a woman answered the phone saying the driver was a couple of minutes away trying to get me to not cancel my order. then she told me the driver was having trouble finding my house and had called me a few times which is entirely untrue. I left my house and and said it’s ok try again later. Before I finished my sentence, she hung up on me. I was upset because at this point I was hungry and someone had LIED to me. Which was unacceptable. I got to my destination and received a text saying my order was delivered so I was like “sweet, a snack for later whatever” I was out for 3 hours and forewent any snacking because I try to remain within a caloric budget and I really wanted the honey walnut shrimp. I got home and honestly wasn’t surprised that my order wasn’t there. I thought I wasn’t refunded and my order wasn’t cancelled and now I’m furious that I feel TSO STOLE MY MONEY because whoever answered the phone at the location didn’t want to cancel my order.”
It went unanswered, so I called the store and was pretty not mean about what happened. I told the person on the phone about what happened and when I told her about the woman who hung up on me she started laughing so I hung up on her. Thanks for at least refunding my money. I’ll be sure not to use round rock...
Read moreI am not a big fan of photos on a menu. Typically, they are dark colored and make everything look very bland. Tso's online menu had beautiful photos and absolutely sold me on dinner! I ordered Singapore Street noodles, my wife tried the wonton soup bowl (had various meats and noodles, as well) and my daughter went for a staple: Orange Chicken. First, my wife described the soup as spicy. She thinks everything is spicy though, so I tasted it myself. Wow! It WAS actually spicy! I'm not too sure why it was so spicy. Trust me, I like heat, but it was out of place in this dish. Also, the shrimp tasted well past cooked. Rubbery and bland. My Singapore noodles were plentiful. That is where the positivity stops. ALL of the meat was dried out and overcooked. The vegetables were good enough, but they had obviously used an overabundance of powdered yellow curry. It tasted chalky and almost had a sandy texture. I struggled through a few bites and gave up. We also tried some Vietnamese wings. The picture showed some really delicious, crispy looking fried wings. We got soggy wings swimming in mystery sauce that looked a but like frothy sugar water and had a glob of chopped white onion dumped in a heap on top. Also disappointing. So why two stars instead of one? My daughter liked the orange chicken. Orange colored, sugar coated chicken nuggets are hard to mess up for a kid. I would avoid this place, for what it's worth. And what it's worth is far less than...

I have lived in San Antonio and Austin for combined 30 years. I’ve had a lot of different Asian cuisine. Tso’s is absolutely in the top 2 or 3 best restaurants I’ve ever had. It’s amazing. Out of this world customer service and food process. I have eaten here well over 25 times and literally have never had an issue with food or service or messed up order. What ever system they use is spot on. They have a no delivery fee and a no tip policy so what you get is what you pay and it’s fair priced in my opinion. Finally the food is out of this world. So delicious and fulfilling every time. I only have one complaint for Tso’s. About 5 years ago they created the greatest dish known to mankind. It was called orange beef. It was so tender and tangy and full of flavor. My family would come up from San Antonio and before they even said hello or how were we they would ask if we could go to Tsos and get the orange beef. It’s hands down the greatest dish I’ve ever eaten. Sadly it was part of their monthly promotion and was only around for a few months. Once it was taken off their menu for a new promotion dish the orange beef was never seen again. I check their menu often to see if they have brought it back. Tso’s if you’re reading this please make it happen. This world needs orange beef made by...
