This place has to be fantastic it's a little Hidden Mist now but that's not a hundred percent due to a lack of trying and some areas. The greeter at the front cashier was perfectly lovely and we able to quickly ascertain what I wanted which was the adult entree for lunch. She explains how things have changed due to covid 19. I went to my chosen table expenses and eventually for a wait staff person to ask for my receipt and get me the water I would request. Strangely it took a lot longer than necessary for that particular weight person to leave a table of two men that were heard in her age group and they may have been regulars or customer favorites. But they certainly got more attention than this girl throughout the entire 45 minutes I was there. And they got more attention the entire time and refills and plates replaced and all that stuff that I did the entire time I was there. So that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth and made me not want to get seconds. I basically finished my plate of food asked for a top up on the water when I eventually got my water. And then was able to attempt to re-establish rapport with this weight person hoping that the woman was just having a difficult day or was tired or need of a break if I continue to be sweet and clean and not demanding perhaps it would go better. I didn't really err on the side of being a nightmare but it certainly wasn't all that enjoyable. The food was okay a few things were nice the vegetables were completely overcooked to the max. I realize some people need extremely soft mushy food I would have hoped for a variety of medium country too mushy by then only mushy so that's a little bit of a snag unnecessarily. The pot roast that used to be so good had cooked me and these some gravy but the carrots were from the can and cold almost as if they have been placed on there after the rest of the meal was made to brighten up for color and contrast. One thing that really disturbs me was that when I went back to get my Frozen chocolate frosty type dessert in a cone I walk towards the other area and unfortunately they were playing what was the soap opera perhaps. Oh boy nobody had anything but negligee and the guy it was the middle of the afternoon there were children and pre teenagers eating in that area and in the dining area adjacent to it all of which the large screen TV could be seen the NBC Network had the program one and it just seemed extremely inappropriate under the circumstances. I eventually was able to flag down the staff member and let them know to come over to me and stopped a personal conversation with the two colleagues at the other end of the internal meat and vegetable food station and asked if they could perhaps change the station for appropriateness krowd and myself. I'm no prude but it was a bit much for a public area. The person agreed that would check it out and make attempts to change it. I hope that all work out I left shortly after the bathroom what is a bit messy but that would be the fault of the customers most likely having said that that should be checked on by staff very regularly. And bother me a bit that I couldn't obvious to see that the attempts were made to keep it clean considering how serious it is of a turn-off to see unkempt bathrooms these days and age. I know that they can do better they used to. I suspect they were having a very bad day or week. Perhaps there were some changes made and they were learning the routines. I'm willing to give them another chance and I hope that I am happily surprised I've discovered things are going much better. Thank you for consideration this is all set as constructive criticism by no means to be mean and 100% from the heart. Keep trying Sirloin Stockade of Round Rock I know you...

update this year for my review last year The customer service here despite being packed a capacity were quick to accommodate my friend tonight to a table and we got to eat all you can eat similar to a Golden corral I was able to get some pot roast and scrambled eggs which hit the spot for me and to top it off at cherry pie dessert and my friend got to eat and put together a salad to his liking we both had a good overall experience again I would say just keep in mind the food quality here is not going to be the best of the best but the customer service here at least does their best accommodate and of course if you sign up for their birthday program you get a free buy one get one free buffet each year for your birthday
Hard working people. I came during dinner time and customer service at the front and back.
Food servers, and cooks were all friendly, English speaking humble folk.
If your Koshur like me you do need to ask the cook to clean the board before preparing your steak as they also prepare on the same board pot pork roast.
Most of the other foods you pick and add to your all you can eat tray were clearly described, no lard after checking with another gentleman at the back where they prepare and bring your drink to your table that you seat yourself at.
Watch out for pork bits though next to jalapenos at salad bar and bacon in green beans.
Two comfortable dining areas to choose plenty of tables and food booths to seat, each with flat screen TVs streaming live news and / or sports.
Easy to get to restrooms at the front t entrance, men's restroom was clean and well maintained with two booths, urenil, and sink. Handicapped accessible.
Plenty of parking with ramps for easy access, one entrance only facing southwards so no problems with sunrise not sunset at this location..
Came for my birthday, sign up for their eclub and get a free buffet coupon, no catch.
Otherwise very affordable all you can eat all day buffet complete with dessert pies, ice cream, and sweets. :)
Also friendly family environment with specials for kids.
Cons:
Tricky to get into! You pretty much are at the mercy of I35 getting off going northwards, or coming from the back entrance coming from...
Read moreWe have not been here in years. Either this place has gone down hill or my taste buds have improved over the years.
We stopped here on Easter for dinner. The place was fairly busy but unsure as to why after trying their food. The prime rib was about the only item I half way liked - after applying salt. Their wait staff was plentiful but they do not watch where they are going and if you are not careful, you will get elbowed or pushed by them. Lots of young staff, young teens gathered around the drink station which looked more like a social hang out. The young boy serving the Prime Rib had ear phones in and completely oblivious to the patrons.
Now to the food. Bland Bland and more Bland. I dont think much is actually cooked their but rather heated up from the freezer. The potato salad tasted like tartar sauce and the potatoes had the texture like they had been frozen previously. The cheese sauce was more like water cheese. The turkey was not edible and the stuffing tasted more like Hill Country Fare stuffing from HEB. The gravy was overly salted and not very good. The chili looked like an old science experiment gone wrong. The steak had an odd taste - and needed salt. The pizza dough was still doughy.
Their ice cream machine was broken and their desserts looked like they threw something together last minute - I didnt even attempt to try these as all of them looked messy and unappetizing.
The bathrooms and tables were filthy.
I am confused how they stay in business let alone was busy. It was almost as if they catered for the older patrons as most the food was bland - as if to say, hey we dont want to raise your blood pressure so here is some saltless and unflavored food. Either that or perhaps noone there has actually had good food prepared/cooked for them before.
Bottom line - food was not edible, I left a buffet hungry!!! -_- Not clean But hey - lots of parking!
I wont be...
