In my opinion, even though the app says that they are similar to Whataburger, they are nothing near similar. Burger Island blows Whataburger away, they are not even in the same class much less category as each other when it comes to burgers. Whataburger falls in the grotesque and greasy assembly line class and Burger Island fits more closely in the gourmet burger class just below Red Robin and just above Fuddrucker's at a price point a little higher than Whataburger but much lower than any other burger place in its same class. I have been going to the one on Northwest near Centerville since it very first opened and have been to the one near Richland College on several occasions with them both failing to ever serve me any disappointment EVER!! And recently I have been able to get it delivered to my house which is the most awesome since having sold my vehicle and that being my only option other than getting an uber to the restaurant which in itself is the most ridiculously expensive waste and best way to ruin a great time to me. Although I would have to say that if that was the only way to get it, I would definitely do it because EVERYTHING on the menu I've ever had has been totally worth the pain that I think uber is in more than one category. #BestBurgersInDallasArea,...

I've been eating here for years and even though I travel all around America and visit burger places on occasion, I can say with certainty that this is my favorite burger joint. Their burgers are huge and full of quality ingredients. They have so many options for the complex or simple burger.
My personal favorite is their jungle burger, which is loaded with every possible ingredient you could imagine on a burger... its outstanding! But even if you like something more simple, their regular cheeseburgers or mushroom burgers are also excellent. All in all, I cant reccomend this place enough for casual goodness

Read moreMy first time eating Burger Island. I'm impressed. I ordered the jungle burger, no bun. No ketchup, no tomato. Taste was fantastic. I'd order it again for sure. The bacon was crunchy. Lettuce bed fresh. Burger just the right amount of char. Delicious. My kids simply got nuggets and curly fries. Both were great. Another great aspect is they do to-go with pride! The containers had an air vent in the top to keep condensation from building and ruining the food. Nice touch. This place deserves business. Inside was clean. Service was friendly. Food great. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is...well...the black ceiling makes the dust on the air vents super visible. Unfortunately, I couldn't ignore this.
I wasn't going to write a review so I didn't get a before pic...
