Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Royal Oak

🤬I WAS A LOYAL CUSTOMER UP UNTIL NOW "TODAY". THE SANDWICH WAS NOTHING BUT "BREAD". I ORDERED EXTRA CHEESE AND EXTRA LETTUCE. I BOUGHT THIS SANDWICH AROUND 4 O'CLOCK. THIS AFTERNOON, I CAME HOME AT 630 WANTING TO HAVE MY DINNER AND IT WAS NOTHING BUT "BREAD". IF I KNEW HOW TO TAKE A PICTURE AND POST A PICTURE ON THERE I WOULD🤬 extremely DISAPPOINTED IN THIS LOCATION. THEY USED TO BE VERY GOOD WITH THE QUALITY AND THE QUANTITY OF THEIR SANDWICHES. And also, when I called to report that the SANDWICH WAS POORLY MADE, THEY SEEMED AS IF THEY HEARD IT BEFORE AND DIDN'T CARE MY PHYSICAL THERAPY IS ON 14 AND COOLIDGE. I ALWAYS TREAT MYSELF TO A TEBBIE'S. AFTER THERAPY. AND I LIVE ON NINE MILE IN WOODWARD, WHEN I CALLED TO REPORT THE SANDWICH, SHE SAID, I COULD BRING IT BACK AND THEY WILL REMAKE IT "GIRRRIRL, PLEASE"!.. 🤑 I GIVE THIS LOCATION ONE STAR AND THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE I HAD TO POST THE ONE STAR TO WRITE THIS REVIEW AND I SEE THAT OTHER CUSTOMERS. HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS, VERY POORLY. BUILT. SANDWICH, NOTHING BUT "BREAD" AND I PAID ALMOST $14 FOR JUST ONE REGULAR SIZE SANDWICH. YOU SUCK!!!...

I don’t know if all Tubbys are like this, but this was bad. The bread tasted like Walmart bread, and the contents inside the sub was not good enough to make up for it. I maybe tasted 1 mushroom in my mushroom steak & cheese. Jimmy Johns, Subway, and Jersey mikes, have better and even I do better. $4.50 to upgrade to a combo, just for a medium sized side and a medium drink. The lemonade was literally water with some lemon squeezed in. The fries were over-salted, but to be honest that’s a simple mistake I can get over. Tubby’s had bigger fish to fry, though. A lot can be overlooked if for example, the subs were good. But they were a waste of $40 for two large sub combos. And I’ve noticed every bad review they give a robot response of “we’re sorry about your experience, please contact us to make this right.”, I’m sure even this review will receive that response. Tubbys, give better places...

The store closes at random hours. I'm not exaggerating. Sometimes 7, sometimes 8 whatever the people working that day feel like working is closing time. This has happened several times now. The hours advertised online do not reflect the hours the shop is open at all. I also went there recently. The drive though is poorly designed so if I had gotten in line I would've literally been in the street. Obviously I decided to park and just walk in. It was 6:30pm on a Saturday. I walked around to the entrance and it was locked. This whole time it was pouring down rain. The two workers inside were cleaning. I imagine it was because they decided quitting time was near for them even though the hours stated they were open until 9. They looked at me and yelled to go through the drive through. Nice way to run a business. ...
