Haven't been to JM in years after a bad experience. Figured I would give it another try after so long. Ordered a "giant" philly cheesesteak to go. While waiting for the sandwich I used the restroom and found that it was disgusting. The floors were sticky with urine and there was literally zero soap or paper towels.
The sandwich took about 15 minutes from the time I ordered it to the time it was ready for me to leave. The staff was pretty slow and disinterested in me being there with more conversation between each other than actual working. When I grabbed the bag, it felt light. Mind you, I paid roughly $20 for the sandwich and probably should've checked it before leaving. Got it home and was beyond disappointed. Extremely small portion of meat/cheese, maybe 3-4 oz for the entire "giant" sandwich. I tried some of it and it tasted like a bread sandwich with a tiny touch of philly cheesesteak flavor. The small bit of meat wasn't good and relatively chewy.
I am absolutely flabbergasted about the severe price gouge for something so small. To call this "giant" is an insult at best and a deliberate swindle at worst. The roll itself is smaller than a standard french bread loaf and those cost literally $2 at any bakery or grocery store. So I guess the other $18 covered a whopping 3-4 oz of low quality meat/cheese. I wont even mention the veggies because it was only peppers and onions anyway and they were grilled down so much you could barely see them. I'm 99.9% sure the portion size of meat and cheese is the same on the small sandwich as it is the "giant" and the only difference is the bun size. What a shameless scam.
Somehow they made this experience worse than the previous time. Shame on me for trying it again I guess. After reading some of the reviews it seems that this is par for the course at this location.
Save your money and use $20 to buy literally two full sized sandwiches just about...

Went in to Jersey Mike's for a chicken Philly. Ordered the "Giant" size sandwich for a whopping $20, expecting something truly large in size. The sandwich is listed as having chicken, American cheese, grilled onions, and grilled peppers on a large sub roll.
Upon placing the order, it took about 5 minutes to prepare. When I was handed the sandwich I noticed that it felt VERY light. Like way too light to be a "Giant" anything.
Upon getting the sandwich home, I immediately unwrapped it and noticed that it had barely any meat. I weighed the sandwich and found the entire "Giant" sub to weigh a total of 18 oz. Yes, that's right, 18 oz. for the "Giant" chicken Philly. I scooped out the filling (chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese) from one half of the sandwich and found it to weigh 2.5 oz. So for a "Giant" sandwich, there is a grand total of 5oz of meat/cheese/veggies and 12oz of bread, and 1oz of wrapper. It seems that they probably use the same amount of filling for a regular and Giant sandwich but only change the size of the bread. If they actually gave less meat on the regular, that would be mindblowing.
Anyway, this is UNACCEPTABLE for $20 and absolutely robbery.
The actual flavor and quality of the sandwich was average at best. It tastes like a fast food sandwich, which it is. As a result, I would expect to pay $8-$10 for something like this, but not $20+tip. Jersey Mike's either needs to give a proper portion of food for $20, or drastically reduce prices for the meager portion they provide.

Read moreAsked for a sandwich that came with ham to be subbed out for turkey. The girl making it said no problem, and started making it. A manager came over and asked what she was making, she told him. He told her that can’t be done and it has to be rung as a different sub with extra meats. As a manager for a different type of local business, this seemed like a training opportunity gone wrong. It was embarrassing for both of us, with the manager being extremely adamant and rude. If you can’t make a training opportunity for staff a positive experience for both the customer and the staff, don’t be a manager. The guy at the register was nice and tried to make the experience better, but I won’t...
