Went to this location to resolve a delivery issue.
I ordered 4 appliances online and opened a new home depot credit card to purchase them (something that I though would give me a little panache since they've been bugging me to do this for decades).On my delivery date, I called Home Depot to inquire when my appliances were arriving. I found that my delivery date had slipped by 2 months, and 2 of these appliances were in stock and 2 that were not. Home Depot corporate flat out refused to ship the 2 in stock appliances until the other two were in stock.
It is important to note that Home Depot had charged my credit account for the full amount on the 13th of June, indicating a nearby delivery. My request to have the charges removed or to have my promotional 0% interest period start from the date I receive my appliances was denied by Home Depot.
I went to my local Home Depot to mediate and to request a solution. None of the problems I went in with were resolved.
The nice enough store manager asked me to work with the appliance expert to see what was in stock. After some time searching, I said I would be willing to wait for one appliance and upgrade another to an in stock replacement (counter depth vs standard refrigerator, same model). The price difference between the two refrigerators was $100, which I was willing to pay, however as I bought the items on sale, the price difference would have been thousands of dollars as my sale price or package deal wouldn't be honored.
There was not an adequate oven in stock, and again I would not get a package discount if I ordered the oven separately (nor the sale price from when I ordered). I would not, again, receive any appliances until they were all ready if ordered together, meaning I would be waiting on an oven for everything... the same problem I went in with.
The appliance specialist appeared to have her hands tied, and said she would put together a package that was in stock for the upcoming 4th of July sale. I was to receive a call on the 24th... obviously I was ghosted. No biggie, I combined sales from Lowes and Costco to get the top of the line appliances in this series for only a few hundred more. Lowes delivered 2 of the 3 appliances the very next day, 1 was backordered until next Wednesday, and Costco has my 4th appliance coming in 3 days. So happy I shopped around. I got better appliances and better shipping timeframes from companies that don't hate their customers.
The manager did keep saying they would fix my credit card charge, but he did not.
Honestly the staff was nice and friendly. It's probably Home Depot's fault that they are forced to treat their customers terribly, but the effect is customers are...
Read moreI came in about a week ago with a complaint about some Ryobi blowers I bought which were only Used less than a dozen times, they are absolute garbage I don't recommend Ryobi products to anyone. Anyway I spoke to one of the managers by the name of Stacey at Home Depot She was Amazing treated me fantastic she allowed me to use their phone to call Ryobi customer service to get them on the phone to see what we could do but they would not allow her to do a warranty on it because I was just under 2 weeks out of my warranty which was a 3 year terrible customer care at Ryobi dont buy anything Ryobi not Honoring it only 2 weeks out of warranty not good. Stacey felt really bad for me and she said that she would do something for me so I decided to look at a couple of things but I was so upset from dealing with everything she said it was OK when ever I wanted to come back she would honor and give me a discounted rate on what I wanted. She kept her word for sure I went back today and a gentleman by the name of Noah and another gentleman as well but I forgot his name greeted me the whole team up front was awesome I explained what was going on and they said no problem they would get me a manager and he came over his name was Johnny this gentleman shopped with me, and helped me pick out what I needed with another associate by the name of I believe Deanna I hope the name is right, anyway they tag teamed to help me out absolutely amazing customer service, and Team at the Return area of Customer service. We Laughed joked and kept each other happy through the process they knew how upset I was and turned the bad experience I had into a Blessing in the end I want to Thank each and everyone of you that took part in helping me out today you treated both my Daughter and I very well I will Absolutely be back I dont live far from this store. I will be Continuing my business with this Home Depot for sure. Please be sure you let them all know How I felt about the way they treated us today... Read morePlease allow me to take a moment to share some praise about my recent visit to your store located @ 223 S. State Road 7 – West Palm Beach/Wellington, FL; This is my local Home Depot store. My great friend was in town with me, helping me with various construction/home improvement products in our new home. We made multiple visits to your store the weekend of 20 August 2022.
During our multiple visits, we were greeted by an employee named, “Jan”; - I’m not sure how else to describe her other than a White Female; Middle-Aged. In my entire life, of visiting Home Depot stores throughout the United States – I have never come across such a kind, pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable employee. “Jan” told Mark and I that she had been working with that store since it opened many years ago. “Jan” is simply awesome; so awesome that I had to seek out her Manager – “David”. “Jan” went the extra mile to help Mark and I retrieve the correct LED Light Bulbs for my new home in Binks Pointe, Wellington. Thank you!
Later that weekend, we return, once again and meet the Store Manager – “David” who is truly a terrific and extremely helpful person. Again – “David” went the extra mile to help us seek out the particular “Lithium Batteries” that we were looking for. These were very difficult to find.
Our Cashier, “Seren” was extremely cheerful, kind, pleasant and helpful. She assisted me in opening a Home Depot Credit card which was something that I always wanted to have, but didn’t not know how to get. There is a Lowes located down the street from this Home Depot location; for various reasons – particularly unhelpful and obnoxious staff – they will never get any of my business.
