One of my favorite Sushi places in Royal Palm. It’s even better that they also do Thai meals. I go by myself for sushi a few times a week but I recently went out with my family (5 people in total) to celebrate a birthday and we even managed to stay under $100 in total and still left feeling full! My favorite Thai dish is the panang curry. It’s absolutely rich and creamy base is so flavorful and the spice kick really makes you want to order more. Even if you don’t order meals, you can easily feel full from just the sides and appetizers. My family ordered the Thai dumplings and it was so good that we ordered a second plate. They have a variety of appetizers and I would recommend the Thai dumplings for sure if you want authentic Thai food. For sushi, the Yaguza and Thunderstorm rolls are must-haves. Not only is the fish fresh, but one roll is genuinely enough to feel full after one dish (at least for me). I get the spicy tuna every time I visit as well and their sushi is just very comforting. I usually don’t order desserts at restaurants, but their Thai donuts are genuinely addicting. If you ever go, try their donuts out! We ordered them for the birthday and the restaurant even sang happy birthday to us. Overall the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The food came out in a speedy manner and I had a great time out with my family and eating alone at Kenzo. Some pictures of the birthday donuts and my most recent visit to Kenzo at night. What a hidden gem of Royal Palm dining! Once you start regularly dining here, the staff basically treat you...
Read moreMy husband and I love eating sushi for our dinner dates. Our usual go-to spots used to be Hayashi and Yumi, but we moved and have been looking for a new place for regular visits. We tried Kenzo last night and ordered four signature rolls. It was yummy food, but it was very poorly executed. Sex of the Moon and Rainbow rolls were pretty good, but two-faced was utterly broken down on the serving plate, even before we touched it, except for one roll; when we asked the server, she said toppings are messy, sushi is fine, it wasn't. The dirty older man tasted good, but the tuna was placed poorly on the sushi; we had to figure out how to get topping on the sushi, and it broke down as well; when we mentioned this to the waitress, she offered us forks, its easier to eat sushi with chopsticks even when it's broken down in pieces, how is fork a solution in this situation? I guess that the rice was stale and couldn't hold shape anymore, or they couldn't keep form while rolling the sushi; what could have been an A+ experience ended up being a C-. We have to keep looking for a regular place. We also had soup, which was good, but she offered a teaspoon to drink it, not soup or even a tablespoon. P.S. I had lunch at Kenzo twice before, which was good both times. Our...
Read moreVisited on a Monday night and we were one of 2 parties dining here. When looking at the menu, we were impressed with the amount of items of which we could choose from. I had a Thai tea which was great. I always ask for it with minimal ice. We ordered rolls, Miso soups and dessert. The Miso soup was full of great tasting tofu with a mild broth that wasn't too salty. The staff here is so kind and accommodating. I asked for one of my rolls to be altered and there was no issue. Our dessert, Thai donuts with tempora ice cream was sooo good!! We were stuffed by the time is was go time. We have a family saying that you can tell how good the food will be by the miso soup and the quality of the ginger added to our sushi roll plates. I can definitely say this restaurant had the freshest ginger i have ever had while eating sushi. Its the small details that really help me determine if ill come back. The prices here are extremely fair and we didn't break the bank. The food was fresh and service was fast and with a smile. Lowkey spot with great atmosphere. Come...
