Had five people in our group and to my knowledge, we all tipped but apparently none of them were not big enough for the server. As we were walking outside the door, she followed us out, asked us if we do not tip our servers at other restaurants, “especially with everything going on right now” and told us never to come back.
We ate, we paid, and we tipped, but were chastised for “not tipping” despite there being tips on the checks?
You did not even give me time to write my review before deeming it as “review bombing” and calling us “trash people.” You obviously had time to sit there and watch your reviews come in instead of looking at the checks and seeing there were tips there for you. I’m sorry you felt the need to follow us out and make a scene. If you are that down bad for money, I do not think following people out of your restaurant and chastising them is helpful at all.
Thank you for showing us what professionalism should never look like and I truly hope you find the tip money you’re so desperately seeking and...
Read moreThis place is awesome. The food is excellent. The wait staff was awesome and hustled their tails off despite being short staffed. They apologized for the delay like 5 times. To tell you the truth, we hardly even noticed because they were on top of everything. Literally the best table service weve had in Ruidoso, hands down, in years.
You definitely need a Reservation to eat here. Dont try to just walk in, ain't happening.
We had the spring rolls with tofu and 3 sushi rolls. They were all fabulous. The best, in my opinion, was the Kitsune Roll. Its vegetarian, which I'm not by a long shot, and features sweet potato. Which I have never had in a sushi roll before. It was fabulous, I highly recommend it. The others were a spicy tuna roll and a shrimp tempura roll. Both had great flavor, tasted fresh and were well wrapped.
This place is worth the hype, the reservation issues (available time slots)...
Read moreI was looking forward to eating at this place since I'd never been to Ruidoso before and I love sushi. I got a miso soup, salmon skin hand roll, and the small sashimi platter. The hand roll was comfortably delicious. The miso soup had a taste that I wasn't particularly used to from a miso soup, but it was still palatable and I finished it in like 5 seconds. I haven't had much exposure to sashimi from different places, but I thought the sashimi was okay. The texture wasn't as soft as I'm used to, but I could appreciate the general meatiness. I also appreciated the extra 2 pieces given to me when the platter was supposed to be 12 pieces. The waitress seemed to have been in not the best mood, but still got everything to us with a decent attitude. This place wasn't bad, but I did have higher expectations for the quality of the food. I'd probably eat there again to try...
