Edit(4 star) 12-11-2023: Here to update my review - the food is still pretty much the same quality (tastewise but the burger was built with little care. E.g. the bacon was off to one side, tomatoes another and southwest sauce wasn't tasted until the end) They forgot the pickle spear..which I'm a big fan of personally, I believe it makes the meal.

The service has definitely gone down a few notches. It's not bad, but not very noteworthy. Which to me.. as someone that raves about this place to people... is a tad disappointing because I love making recommendations to people who tell me they're traveling.

There used to be a woman who worked there that would ask all of the specific questions like "are you fine with a slightly pink centered patty?" and "would you like house fries or beer battered fries with that?" She made the place run like a very well oiled machine.

With that being said, I will still always stop in when visiting Ruidoso because this establishment is still in the top 3 for my favorite...

My wife and I are visiting Ruidoso and decided to treat ourselves to eating out (we travel in an RV and typically cook). We decided on Hall of Fame Burgers primarily because of the reviews and the expectations that a burger joint would produce exceptional burgers and we were hanging out for a nice burger - our last burger was nearly 4 weeks ago.

We were sorely disappointed. It was not a bad burger, but at best, it is average, akin to burgers I would cook at home. We ordered the Southwest and Hatch (according to the cashier who took our order, these were the 2 most popular, and in that order) and they we really no better than what I would do at home. The buns were OK, the patties were OK and everything was just plain OK.

I rarely provide bad reviews, because I make myself wait 2 -3 days and if it still bothers me, I let loose. In this case it bothered me enough and I felt I need to balance the reviews, so expectations can be set appropriately and perhaps challenge the owner to up...

OH MY GOSH!!!

The food here was/is excellent. The flavors or seasoning on the burger were so flavorful. The size of the hamburger was perfect. I have never had a thick patty that tasted so good.

We ordered the shrooms and Swiss burger and southwest burger. The sides we had were the onion rings (made with real onions) and beer battered fries (I wish it was fresher in temp) but it was still delicious.

Cons ... it is first come first serve for seating. This place is pretty busy but people eat and go bc it is a retail shopping area. Parking was a nightmare but with patience you will eventually find a space. The bathroom is public but only 1 person at a time. There can be quite a bit of wait.

Pros: do they have a fountain drink station and freshly brewed tea (sweet and unsweet). If you like Arnold Palmer like I do there is no Lemonade. They do have Pepsi products including Cherry 🍒 Pepsi (that made my day)

Otherwise, it was worth waiting to eat here....
